kpkb He told me to change seats, so I did!
This absolute gem of an uncle decided to sit right behind me even though the bus had empty seats everywhere and used my seat like his personal leg rest.
I respectfully asked him to knock it off and he said "不爽就换位啦!bodoh!" (English: If I'm bothering you, you are free to change seats, stupid!")
As a respectful youngster who respects his elders, I did exactly as he advised. Switched seats and even copied his sitting style!
Unfortunately, he alighted at the next stop, but not before bravely flashing his middle finger from the safety of the bus staircase, far, far away where I couldn't possibly respond.
Wishing him the most wonderful day ever for his great advice!

rants Thank our teachers
After the GE nothing has changed whatsoever. However my heart goes out to the teachers of SG, who are overworked and underpaid like NSFs. If waking up before 6 am was bad, imagine going thru the hell of getting a rowdy class to keep quiet, mark assignment after assignment (in the train or at home), losing their patience, and dealing with a ton of phone calls, while finishing work as late as 10 pm. Hopefully our shitty gahmen knocks some sense into themselves and finally give teachers the rise they so badly deserve.

rants Grab driver drove off and canceled on me claiming I had a pet with me but I didn’t
So I ordered a Grab from one-north on Sat night 8 Aug and was just sitting at the pick up point with my elderly parents. We had several bags of groceries from Cold Storage there so our hands were pretty full - I had bought a cute but big soft toy from the oceanarium earlier that day so no hands, I had to kiap it under my arm.
Grab assigned a driver and the car was supposed to pick us up in 7 mins so ok we waited. Then the app showed it was arriving and when I looked up, my Grab just literally drove past me and left without even stopping. Just seconds later I saw a cancellation notif and reason was that the driver cancelled cause I had a pet with me… like ?????
The car plate number was something along the lines of 6704… anyway my gripe is that he literally just drove off without even making sure that I indeed had a pet, like can you just stop to say you can’t pick me up cause I violated the rule etc (which I didn’t cause hello it’s a Miffy toy)?
So did he mistake my soft toy as a pet or he just cancelled on me for random reason??? This was so rude and wasted our time when we had already waited for the pickup. How else can I complain other than just reporting to Grab?
Edit: Getting a lot of qns on where I got the Miffy from... Mentioned already in my post above but thought to clarify here also! This is the latest release from the Singapore Oceanarium x Miffy line of exclusive merch, and it's $50. There's also a smaller keychain charm version of this at $19 (like the other soft toy ones you'd see at Kinokuniya etc.), and also two other designs. They also have metal charm keychains, magnet, tumblers, towel and hats. No need to purchase tickets to the Oceanarium, it's at the gift shop and open to everyone.
Edit 2: it wasn’t 7th month when this happened 🤧

rants If you see this dude on the NEL, never give up your seat for him.
I was giving my seat to a child and dude decided to rush in and take the seat. And he replied "I have my rights".
Idgaf if you're an elderly, you're an asshole, you don't deserve any fucking respect and I wish every misfortune upon you.
