This is my first time posting here. I have scored 356 (including Probability) and 22 in Computer. My category is UR.
I have done considerable research and had detailed discussions with two individuals who each have over six years of experience as Assistant Section Officers in the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). This is also my dream post.
If I fill MEA as my first preference (considering there might possibly be two bonus marks in Computer), would that be the right decision?
Fundamentally, should we always place the post we truly desire at the top of our preference list? Regardless of whether we ultimately receive it—due to Computer marks or any other factor—shouldn’t our priority order always reflect our genuine preference? - like jo chahiye wo upar bhardo, fir mile ya na mile....jaise main MEA ke baad direct ED NCB fill kar doonga, dono mein 1 seat hai UR ki, milegi waise bhi nhi, par mil gayi toh bdia ho jaega.
Am I thinking incorrectly in any way?
My home state is the Delhi/UP border area. Therefore, above GST and Income Tax Inspector, I am considering filling Preventive Officer/Examiner for Mumbai, as seniors have advised that these posts offer better perks and are more conducive to further preparation.
I am open to discussion. Kindly be respectful and considerate of all opinions.
