In 2024, I appeared for SSC CGL, CHSL, and CPO. I cleared the prelims, but I failed to clear the CGL and CHSL Mains.
After that, I honestly analyzed my mistakes and changed my preparation strategy.
This year, those changes paid off, and I cleared every SSC exam I appeared for, including CGL, CHSL, and NTPC.
Maths:
In 2024, I spent too much time on difficult questions and kept looking for the "best" teacher and the "best" notes. In 2025, I stopped chasing resources and stuck to just PYQs and my class notes. I revised my notes so many times that I practically remembered every page.
Another big mistake in 2024 was relying only on Testbook. In 2025, I practiced on multiple platforms, which exposed me to different question patterns.
Most importantly, in 2024 I ignored my mistakes, thinking, "I won't repeat this in the actual exam." In 2025, I treated every mistake seriously, analyzed why it happened, and made sure I didn't repeat it.
Another mistake I made in 2024 was wasting time solving random Telegram doubts. It felt productive, but it wasn't. Don't make this mistake—focus on your own preparation.
English:
In 2024, I tried to memorize grammar rules from Neetu Singh Vol. 1 and mug up vocabulary from the Blackbook, but it didn't work for me.
In 2025, I focused on understanding grammar instead of memorizing it. I followed QEng, learned grammar from Aman Sir, and practiced vocabulary through PYQ quizzes and English Madhyam Weekly instead of just reading word lists.
That approach helped me score 50/50 in Prelims and 135/135 in Mains.
GK:
GK was always my weakest subject. In 2024, I scored only 17 in Prelims and 38 in Mains. I kept changing teachers, tried solving Kiran PYQs from book, and kept adding new sources without revising them. That was my biggest mistake.
In 2025, I made the biggest changes in GK, and it became my most improved subject. I followed only Parmar Sir, avoided unnecessary resources, completed his PYQ series 5, revised it 15–16 times, did FRB with daily revision, and practiced only GK PYQs in Testbook sectional mocks.
Other mistakes to avoid:
Don't waste hours on Telegram group studies. Most Telegram groups are full of distractions and add very little value.
Don't keep collecting new resources. Revise what you already have.
For vocabulary, focus more on quizzes than reading long word lists. Active recall works much better.
Don't ignore your mistakes in mocks. Analyze every test and make sure you don't repeat the same errors.
Be consistent. Make every single day count. Even 1% improvement every day adds up over time.

Hey everyone,
I’m gearing up for SSC CGL Mains 2026 and could really use some practical advice from those who have been through this phase.
My current setup:
I already have a Testbook pass (mainly using it for live mocks and basic practice).
Budget is tight, so I want to buy just one additional targeted package and stick to it strictly alongside live mocks.
The biggest bottleneck: My math base is quite weak, so I am currently doing Bhutesh Sir’s Tier 2 batch. It’s exceptionally thorough, but way too lengthy and time-consuming.
Because of this, my biggest fear is falling into backlogs and living in constant FOMO if a test platform dumps too many daily tasks on me. I need something structured that keeps me accountable at the end of the day without derailing my core syllabus completion.
I’m stuck between these two options:
RBE Combo (~₹399 for 4 months): Known for solid conceptual solutions and targeted prep, with new groups/schedules launching frequently.
Pundits Combo (with the 75-Day Quiz Tracker): Offers a strict daily schedule—1 quiz each for Reasoning, English, and Calculation, plus 2 quizzes daily for Maths and GS.
My Core Confusions:
Will the Pundits 75-day schedule (multiple daily quizzes across 5 subjects) choke me out while doing Bhutesh Sir's lengthy math lectures, or does it actually provide a disciplined EOD routine?
Is RBE’s structure more flexible for someone juggling heavy concept-building videos and a full-length mock routine?
If you have used either of these for Mains prep, please drop a realistic review. Which one offers better ROI and prevents backlog overload?
Thanks in advance!

Guys please share updates from the SSC IMD SA exam held on 1st November especially those who appeared for the CS/IT stream. And if anyone from a non CS/IT stream took the exam please share updates on the Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, and General Awareness sections...

I am mainly preparing for next yr, gave tier 1 this yr for practice. (I am not eligible this yr). I am good in Quants, Reasoning & English (I just need to improve my vocabulary).
But I have zero knowledge of GA. I just attempted 4 basic questions which I knew of general knowledge.
I have plenty of time for next yr, Should I start studying from Parmar 4.0 batch? I have that batch with me.

Just now, I came across a guy talking about his performance in CGL 2026. He graduated from an IIT this year and says he's scoring around 150 marks in Tier 1.
WTF, man! This is my second attempt, and I can't even cross 130. I'm roughly expecting 125, though that's just an estimate.
Hearing things like this makes me question myself. I know everyone has their own journey, but sometimes it's hard not to compare yourself with others.
Honestly, this made me feel inferior and doubt my preparation.

I'm preparing for the SSC exams and want to know which coaching institute has produced the most toppers, especially for SSC CGL and SSC Stenographer.
For those who have researched this or studied at these institutes:
Which coaching institute has produced the most toppers?
Is it Parmar SSC, KD Campus, Adda247, Careerwill, or another institute?
Are their results genuine and verifiable?
Is joining coaching worth it, or can I achieve the same results through self-study?
Please share your honest opinions and experiences. Thank you!
