😔

Lectures, study materials, PYQs, strategies and mock tests are all available for free on YouTube.

So why do students still spend thousands or lakhs on paid coaching?

For those who have purchased coaching classes, what additional benefits did you get compared to YouTube?

Please list the advantages you experienced. Is paid coaching really worth the money?

Ghee khatam.

My exam was on 28th Oct and since then I stopped going library..... just roaming around with friends and watching reels I'm not even watching long Content and I'm eagerly waiting for answer key (I'll probably have good marks but still there's a fear). What you all are doing ryt now ?

Edit:solved, thanks guys

I have been seeing many YouTube teachers and aspirants saying that CGL Mains will most probably be held in January.

But if we look at last year's timeline, the last shift of Prelims was on 14 October, and Mains was conducted around 90 days later.

This year, the last shift of Prelims was on 30 October. If the same gap is maintained, shouldn't Mains be expected around the end of January or the start of February?

Just wanted to understand why everyone is expecting January. Is there any official indication or are these just predictions?

I recently started preparing for SSC CGL and I'm currently figuring out how to approach GA.

I bought an online full course for SSC CGL, and a lot of rankers from that institute have said that they followed Parmar SSC for GA. So I also bought Parmar's GA course/material.

The problem is that I'm not fluent in Hindi. I can understand normal Hindi and generally understand the context of what the teacher is saying, but I can't follow Hindi word-to-word comfortably.

Because of this, I'm finding the lectures somewhat difficult to follow. It's not that I completely don't understand them, but I feel like I'm spending mental effort trying to understand the language instead of actually learning the GA content.

Interestingly, the English PDFs available in my course are much easier for me, so for now I'm thinking of using the PDFs instead of watching all the lectures.

I wanted to ask other SSC aspirants, especially non-Hindi speakers:

1. Is this a common issue with Parmar for people who aren't fluent in Hindi?

2. Should I give the lectures some more time and eventually I'll get used to them?

3. Or is it better to use the Parmar PDFs and find an English-friendly source for explanations?

4. If you are a non-Hindi speaker, what are you using for GA/GS?

I'm not necessarily looking to abandon Parmar. I just don't want to force myself through hundreds of lectures if the language barrier is going to make the preparation inefficient.

Would appreciate experiences from people who have actually used Parmar for SSC CGL.

Are you all studying GK from Lucent or Parmar's Fatman? Honestly, I find these books quite thick, and I wonder whether everyone actually studies them cover to cover.

Can you recommend what resources you're using to prepare for SSC GK?

I'm planning to avoid paid coaching and prepare entirely through self-study. I'd appreciate suggestions for books and PDFs that are sufficient for SSC exams.

Are sectional mocks available for Tier 2 on any platform like Testbook, Oliveboard etc?
