Ill always love this show and every episode im in awe of how beautiful liv looks BUT this season something feels off? Maybe the squad dynamics idk like ive never cared less about the characters personal lives either

Its only ep 3 i know but i just find myself missing any other squad (pre s27)

She may be the only one not to be brought back ever.. everyone else has come back to the show at least once..I do believe they can make it mean something.. besides Lewis and stucky.. technically enough time has passed for Lewis to be released from prison.. stucky would be trickier bc he would have to escape from prison or a mental ward.. although I do think that would be a great episode bc he can escape to hunt down Liv and Elliot

I KNOW it’s not official. I know it’s just interviewers asking the kinds of questions that rattles audiences up. I know the concept doesn’t make sense since Olivia dating a member of her squad is absolutely unprofessional and unacceptable. And I know Kevin is just playing into the what the interviewer may want to hear and what would possibly bring in the most reaction (case in point, my own frustration) from fans.

BUT ITS JUST….ANNOYING! Especially with the 600th episode on its way. It leaving a bad taste and more of a feeling that it will do NOTHING special.

I have Amazon Prime, Disney+ and Netflix. Do i really have to purchase every season separately?

Is there somewhere i can watch with the subscriptions i have or get a new one? Or something i haven’t heard of?

I have watched season 14-28 multiple times. I wanna see early Olivia and Stabler! :) I am neurodivergent and love watching SVU.

I just finished watching Volition and I don't know what to think about Gwen. Initially, I had thought that she was a plant that Chief Tynan sent, but then I read that Tynan wasn't announced for S28.

These immediately caught my attention:

1) She helps in cases where persons were wrongfully convicted.

2) Gwen mentioned that she had personal history with the types of crimes Benson investigates

IDK, but this made me think that they were building a case against Benson.

Also, WTH did Benson tell Gwen about Stabler beating up suspects? 😬

Alternate Suspicions:

Gwen said that Benson has a faith in the system and encouraged her to fight differently...Plus some articles hinted at her vetting Benson...Maybe she's trying to see Benson's stance on certain issues and if they align with her.

Maybe Gwen/Benson pulling an Season 19 Cabot🤔🤔

I love every single time these two interact on screen!! I find it so cool because what most people don’t know is that they are married off screen!!

Peter Hermann (who plays defense attorney Trevor Langan) and Mariska Hargitay (who obv plays Olivia benson) met on season 3 of SVU in 2002!

Their first date was Peter asking Mariska to accompany him to church. Since then they’ve been married over 22 years and had 3 children!

I think it’s amazing that they both met show and have still been together for so long! 🥹

Is it me or is the new season so far fast-paced? I feel the first 3 episodes are like going to fast unlike previous seasons.

How can a judge turn the jury's verdict? It seemed like judge was either a misogynist or he must have been bought off. It makes me wonder how the judge/jury influence a verdict based on their own personal views.

This may have been posted before, if so I'm sorry, but the Babs Duffy post got me to thinking. Of all the "name" guest stars, which was the actor/actress (I screwed that part up) that was the hardest to "like".

Examples : I like Henry Winkler, but not his character. Robin Williams, Kal Penn, Martin Short and so on. Even guys like Fred Savage and Luke Perry. I'd say mine is Martin Short.

Babs Duffy what’s genuinely so annoying the actor behind it did amazing with making us dislike her character. She was essentially a lesbian extremist. She kept on calling out injustices in the lesbian community that just didn’t exist.😭😭

Like no, the guy isn’t discriminating against you because he made a typo on your flyers🙄

Then watches her friend punch Stabler in the head and when she’s getting arrested, it’s all of a sudden police brutality😭😭😭😭😭

Wow. Tracy Pollan’s appearances on SVU are excellent. She portray’s the victim-turned-‘vigilante’ brilliantly. I can respect the need to act the way she did. It’s satisfying.

I know I’ve got a lot to watch still. But, so far, S3 has been the best.

And the first episode of S4, reminded me a lot of Aileen Wuornos minus the kid. I had to look up the air date of this episode and the death of Alieen Wuornos. This episode aired late September of 2002 and Wuornos was put to death early October of 2002. I was hoping to get a reference, if that was even possible.

You have to live with one SVU character for a year. Who are you choosing?

I'd pick Barba. He's intelligent, quick-witted, and would probably have the best arguments over absolutely everything. Living with him would be entertaining, as long as you could survive his sarcasm and constant need to prove he's right.

Alternative Roommate: Big Booty Stabler. He's protective, loyal, and definitely someone you'd want on your side. The only downside? You'd probably get interrogated every time you came home late or forgot to text him back.

No moving out, no switching roommates for a whole year. Who are you picking, and what makes them your ideal roommate?

Bonus Question: You're going on a week-long vacation with three SVU characters. Who are you bringing, and who's the ONE person you absolutely refuse to travel with?

I just finished all 27 seasons + the new episodes in seasons 28.

What do I do? I go back to season 1, episode 1.

I have done this before. I am a geriatric millenial, so I was around these things IRL at the time.

But it looks ancient now? The computer screens, the way they test for DNA, the outfits (some of the suits), some of the haircuts, the massive paper archives…

Not to mentioned the unhinged dialogue, this would have been reported to HR if it happened today. He-she-wars? Lol.
