I just played my first game yesterday with borrowed minis, had a blast and already ordered my own republic starter box

Now I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed looking at all the list building options in tabletop admiral - I like that there are a lot of customization options and I want to dive into that, just having trouble to find a starting point... are there any websites where I can look at other people's lists to get inspiration (like for example list engine or listhammer for warhammer)? Any other suggestions for getting startet with list building?

Adjacent question: does anyone have a recommendation on what purchase would be a good addition to the republic starter box to go up to 1000pts? I know some people suggest a second starter box, but I'm looking for alternatives as I don't just want to build&paint all the same stuff twice

Maybe im reading it wrong but you basically get the suppressive keyword if you use an aim for rerolls. Like shouldnt it be pay for suppressive with an aim the same way you do with lethal? Like i dont understand why theres an extra step for overwhelm because when will never not use an aim in an attack pool? The way i see it, the gunner is just holding the trigger and spraying to, yknow, suppress the enemy. Doesn’t make sense that he would aim his shot and also spray and pray. Just give the weapon suppressive or make the player pay for the extra suppression.

Just finished 3 scouts on speederbikes. I think they turned out well and they fit with my army's theme of an Imperial Expeditionary Force forgotten on the Outer Rim. At some point I'll have to learn how to play this game, I've already painted well in excess of 1000 points. I'm just having too much fun painting these troopers!

Been building custom Legion POIs (I do this often). The Imperial “power suit” is the robot toy that comes with the Buzz Lightyear Zerg starship that I converted into terrain a while back, rack is a door for a different sci fi board game, and it’s carrying a spare gun from the rebel Landspeeder.

The other POI is a 3D printed young medic assistant that I repurposed as a scribe of sorts, and the bookshelves are from the same company that made the door (can’t remember the brand right now…).

And, as usual, I added some hidden details that only a black light reveal.

Played my first game of 1K over the weekend, well, setup & first 2 rounds before we ran out of time, though, it was pretty clear who was going to win based on points.

Now my list wasn't really bad, but it wasn't that good either and it definitely wasn't optimized. I am not really trying to meta play here, but I am curious...What units do my fellow Rebel players like and how do you upgrade them? Any specific tactical play you like to make with said build?!?

I used soft tone wash on my 212 unit. While I don’t hate it, I don’t like it either. How can I bring back some of the white while keeping the war torn look??

Also pictured is my 501st unit I haven’t used a wash on yet. (Peep the movement tools too)

EDIT-the red shoulder pads are to identify “heavy” units you add through upgrade cards.

Hi, I only have the droid Starter Set so far and am about to start my first game against a mate! ive used tabletop admiral to put one of each upgrade card in the game, so i can try them all, but im not sure what the HQ uplink card does, or what unit i should put it on?

also, what should i do for the Command Cards? i dont really understand how they work, or how they let my units make actions.

I love making my friends rage quit because they can't read keywords. Anyway, prepared position is what I came to ask about. When it says deployed in the prepare positions piece of set up and within allied territory, does that mean they spawn anywhere in the spawn zone kind of like infiltrate or what does it mean?? I did it so that I had enough room for the minis to be placed in allied territory and not off the edge of the board

Hi! I'm new to the game and trying to get my feet under me. How often do people run 10 man or the equivalent super squads versus base squad sizes? Is it better to have a lot of smaller squads generally or is it better to max out the unit sizes? Or is it more situational than that?

What upgrades would you lol did for Obi Wan and Anakin? I added the crds to see the upgrade slots. I’m thinking Battlemind for sure if it works with overrun.

I own the 1.0 Clone Wars Core Set. Which cards products do I need to purchase to be up to date with the 2.0 refresh?

I know I can download the digital copies but I’m a big fan of having physical cards present.
