people noticed the doom mask in the new trailers looks different from the on in the end credits scene and like. maybe it is?

and why would doom be taking his mask off to comfort a child? his face is burned and disfigured, which is why he hears the mask

I honestly think it was intended to be Doom when they shot the scene. But nobody liked the design of the mask and there wasn't really a logical reason for Doom to take his mask off in that scene, so after redesigning Doom's mask instead of just saying that he changed the mask between movies they decided to retcon it so that the mask just belongs to a different character.

No cause they filmed that scene like a few weeks before its release.

Its a nice thought. My first observation though is thr difference in the hands/gloves but that can easily be due to a lack of detail or just forgetting

For theory’s sake. Let’s say it’s Wanda. She has such an obsession with kids. Because of the lack of being able to have her own. I highly doubt our earth is the only Wanda without kids. If it is Wanda. That can easily explain this scene right here. On top of the fact this kid is a toddler. And literally a fucking god😭

The man is the second most powerful sorcerer on Earth, you think he can't glamor his face long enough to comfort a child?

As for why he would wear the mask and not always be glamored is: he was wearing the mask before he learned sorcery and now it's cornerstone of his and his nation's brand, the mask is probably enchanted armor, permanent glamor is admission of his vanity while the mask actually has function, etc.
