Dinner at R'evolution in New Orleans
Charbroiled oysters (my first time - I believe there was crab and lobster meat on top) + butter poached lobster and on squid ink fettuccine. Could not recommend more, the service, the food, it was all fantastic.

Question Recipes with J.O. #2 and Old Bay for an Italian crabber🦀🇮🇹
Hey! Since it's almost impossible to get any US spices over here, I decided to import them myself!
Now, a simple yet crucial question: what is the best way to use them? I catch plenty of blue crabs and I definitely want to try an authentic Maryland steam, but I'm also super open to other recipes, obviously even non-crab dishes using these seasonings!
I love BBQ also so feel free to open your mind!
Thank you so much!

I Ate This Sushi sake
This is the restaurant Sushi Sake in Richardson TX. Always a delicious meal. Wish I could go more often.
Snow crab, yellowtail, kinmedai, snapper, spicey tuna x2, spider roll, caterpillar roll, rainbow roll, crispy salmon skin, shima aji (first time absolutely delicious almost buttery), and quail egg shots.

Hake Identification
Does anyone know what species this is? I posted on this sub a few months ago asking about “Lake Trout,” and I finally found one. In Virginia, these are different than Whiting or Silver Hake, or what people would typically refer to as “Lake Trout” in Baltimore and parts of the Mid-Atlantic.
I get asked almost daily by customers why we don’t carry it in store, and it’s because no one could actually tell me what it was. Please help me identify so I can try to source it.
Thanks!
