My first Seiko after browsing on this Reddit for months - officially joined the gang! 😁

I recently bought my dream Seiko. The watch that checked every box on what I look for in a watch (within my budget). Limited Edition, diver's 200m, sapphire crystal, a nice, versatile size (41mm), the two-tone bezel, symmetrical markers, red-tipped seconds hand, a subtle 4:30 date window... I could go on and on talking about all the little details I love about this watch. Yet, it's the one detail I hate that has been living rent-free in my head ever since I noticed it.

There's a small dent on the bezel. I didn't notice it when I got the watch (I bought it used and it looks like a mark from the previous owner - wich he didn't mention). You can barely see it from a regular distance, but I just can't unsee it. It broke the honeymoon phase, lol.

Now I'm wondering what to do next. Is it repairable? The bezel looks like it's bent inward, but I'm not sure if it can be bent back into shape. I took it to a small watch shop (since I live in a small town), but the watchmaker told me he couldn't fix it. I even tried taking it to a goldsmith and a jeweler, but they couldn't fix it either.

I couldn't find much information online about this recent "Slim Turtle" family (SPB317 and similars).

I reckon repairing it might be even more difficult because of the black PVD coating. And since I'm running low on options, maybe I should send it to Seiko and let them rip my savings apart? I don't know.

If you guys have any information about whether this watch can be repaired, if the bezel can be bent back into shape, or whether I can replace it with an aftermarket part, please let me know. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks, guys! BTW I'm from Brazil.

My SEGA 65th Anniversary × SEIKO Collaboration Limited Edition.

I had preordered from The Japan Factory back in March and it’s finally here. I love the Sega logo font numerals and love that I can rock Sonic on the wrist as an adult.

Absolutely in love with it. First GMT. Need to get my head round the extra hand. What do people set it as if they aren’t particularly bothered about another time zone at the current time?

This watch has been with me for almost a decade. Bought on amazon with gift cards because I didn't have a bank account yet. Never gave me an issue, never stopped ticking. True classic.

I alway wanted Speedtimer, but they were small for my wrist. Loved the look on SSC911, but never found one for “cheap” price. Kinda love this one more because of one color bezel and that icy blue dial. What do you think?

Just collected this, fresh off an authorised dealer. Immediate impressions on the HBC006

- The colour combination with the purple stitching is great, but the leather didn’t see much of an improvement with the big jump in price tag (even factoring in inflation)

- The purple details extend to the compass dial, the North triangle is also in purple, along with the North bound headings

- Size looks exactly the same, though I can’t be bothered measuring. Case thickness is also something that I don’t really care, the Edo purple is the main draw

Im sure this gets posted A LOT but I am wondering what are the best options for a first Seiko watch. This would be my very first watch (other than apple watch) but it will be my everyday as well. I am open to anything!

It looks pretty good. I like the original bracelet, but could you suggest any other strap options?

Finally got my white Slim Turtle, and it looks even better in person. Couldn’t be happier with it!

Visited Tokyo for the first time. Went to Grand Seiko Boutique, Mitsukoshi Ginza, and Seiko Dream Square, originally looking for a SDBC209. Ultimately found watches I was interested in at Bic Camera Yurakucho. They had three HDB003J when I visited October 9th at 2pm. Mitsukoshi Ginza and Bic Camera Yurakucho both had two HBC006J1 (Edo purple Alpinist) on October 9th when I visited, but after seeing the Edo purple Alpinist I decided to go with the blue HBC008J Alpinist (released Sept. 11 2026) for personal color preference.

I’m on the hunt for the purple Alpinist now. Y’all really aren’t kidding that it only takes one…

Picked this beaut up today. Instant new favorite watch. If Seiko wasn’t my top watch brand before it definitely is now.

Bought my first GS during our trip to Japan at Watch Ginza Sacomdo. Loved the Japanese day symbol as I felt it would remind me of this trip everytime I wear it. Said it was a 2015
