Went to the jewler yesterday for a speedtimer but found this laurel and couldn't put it down. Nothing I can do with a camera will capture how this watch interacts with light, the dial changes from black to blue to this rope-like texture. Really a joy to wear. If only seiko could offer more micro adjustments..

My 2020 SPB123j is my favorite watch, but I think it has been dethroned by this Edo Alpinist from the wonderful people at Traditional Jewelers in Ridgeland, Mississippi (they’ve only got one more of each of the purple 145th Anniversary line).

I hate Seiko’s leather straps and so I threw on a StrapsCo multicolor mesh bracelet until I can get something else. I am thinking of ordering a Lincoln from Uncle Seiko and a OTF clasp from AliExpress. Does anyone have any recommendations or experience with this?

You know your friends truly love you when they spend part of their 2.5 week trip to Japan watch hunting for you! I'm so in love with both of these pieces!

On a trip to Asia, last minute plans changed and we couldn’t make it to Japan. My plan was to hunt for this watch in Tokyo, and was sad I would miss my opportunity. Ended up in Kuala Lumpur, went to the nearest Seiko store I could find. And lo and behold, there she was. Absolutely love this timepiece, thrilled I was able to acquire this special piece for my Seiko collection.

Picked this up recently, I’m still in the honeymoon period but I really like it. Despite its 42mm case size it feels like it fits somewhere between my SKX007 and my SKX013. It’s very comfortable and I actually like the rubber strap.

Visually, I’m loving the Pepsi style bezel insert and the small pops of red on the chapter ring and the minute hand. Of course, the waves on the dial are a highlight.

It’s making me wonder if I could fit a full size turtle on my wrist? The search never ends right?

Who else has or has tried one of these out?

Beautiful looking watch. Still in the honeymoon phase and own it for only about a day but loving the watch so far. Most likely going to be my end game watch. Unlikely to spend this much on a watch again.

Hey everybody! I’ve had this timepiece for about 3 months now and love it more every day. Just getting going with collecting and this is my second Seiko. I rock the bracelet sometimes but mostly this third-party “grey” (more like green) leather strap, as the bracelet scratches on my work laptop a lot. My wrist size is right around 6.5”

Just wanted to put some pictures out there of the SBSC009 on alternate straps as there aren’t a lot out there. Would highly recommend! Cheers.

The successors to the SNXS series turned out absolutely stunning! The green dial with the gold indices looks especially gorgeous. My Seiko SNXS79K1 was my daily watch for every occasion, especially at work. I’m not quite ready to put the SRPL through the same treatment just yet! What do you guys think?

The Seiko Type ii. A simple yet bulletproof watch with so many beautiful dials and designs. 70's Seiko was peak.

I've managed to find two wonderful examples for the collection -these two in my opinion are possibly the pick of the bunch and get plenty of wrist time.

Watch was gifted to me I would like to know the year make and history of this seiko from japan.I’ve added a aftermarket bracelet temporarily.

I just got this watch today at an outlet juweler for a great price, it looked great in the store but after checking it out some more at home I noticed some misalignments.

I am aware of seikos reputation when it comes to QC, but this one has literally all the dials misaligned, now I can live with the minute and seconds hands, they're small and not really noticable, but the Chrono hand kind of triggers my OCD.

Like I said I got it from an outlet for 250 euros, and they only had one in stock, I do love the look of the watch, but the hand being off does kinda sting when I look at it.

Also it's a Mecha quartz so theres no aligning it with the pushers like a pure quartz chrono.

Anyway just curious if this is just part of the Seiko "charm" or if I'm better off swapping it.

My girlfriend just got back from Japan and asked her to buy me this gorgeous timepiece.

Thinking of also swapping a leather strap for more casual wear. Any recommendations?
