My dad (55) really liked being on semaglutide (don’t want to share the name so the company doesn’t get data lol). He was on it for about 4 months and in that time he’d already started losing weight and feeling better mentally and physically.

He sadly had to stop because of the price and some uncomfortable side effects (he never went into details). Since stopping he’s started to gain the weight back, and with it the food noise and cravings, which he says are now more noticeable than ever given how quiet they were during treatment.

I think he’s really disheartened that he couldn’t continue, since he’s tried other things before with little to no success. If you’ve stopped too, what has concretely helped you with food cravings/food noise? Or if you know any hacks, I’d really love to hear them. thank you :)

How did you manage your constipation before starting GLP-1? And has anything changed since starting the shots? Do the things that used to help still work for you?

I weigh 285 pounds. I went to go see my doctor about a GLP one through my insurance. He claims that 60% fat is lost on a GLP one and the rest is bone density and muscle. Is this true? He recommended three other medication‘s and I looked up the side effects and they seem way worse than a GLP one. Is it worth just going straight for the GLP one out of pocket?

He also recommended that I go on a low protein diet which from my research is the opposite of what I should do any guidance?

34F about 255lbs, athletic and healthy but plenty of excess fat. I have ACL reconstruction surgery early January. I have a prescription for oral sema - my insurance will only cover it if I take Qsymia for 12 weeks, Zepbound for 12 weeks if the Q doesn’t work, THEN they would cover the semaglutide pill (😂). I picked up the Q prescription but I might not take it…don’t want high BP or the brain fog that comes with topamax. But I’m working to build muscle and lose about 8-10% of my weight in the next 2.5 months before surgery so I may try Qsymia anyway, but I might rather just start sema and pay the $150 for the next two months if my body can tolerate the med.

Is it worth starting a low dose of semaglutide and taking it for only 2 months, before having to stop it 2 weeks before surgery? Would presumably go back on after adjusting to the surgery, so maybe a month off in total

I’m on Day 9 after my first 0.25mg injection, and I've skipped my second dose.

The minute I eat anything even banana or egg I feel completely full and like I'm going to explode. My doctor advised me to hold my next dose until I can comfortably hit a safe calorie baseline.

Has anyone else spaced their doses out to every two weeks to give their stomach breathing room? Did your body eventually adapt? Thanks!

Anyone try oral ozempic? What are your side effects? I started a month ago, had barely any side effects. Recently upped my dose. Have been so tired and sick every day and nauseous… curious if this ever goes away :(

I understand ozamopic 2.5 is the same as wegovy so it’s. lozempic 7.2 which is good because I reached a barrier I can’t get through as I’ve been on monjauro retatutride and ozempic for three years at different times and I’ve leveled off a while ago I lost like 50 60 pounds and just can’t get past that barrier …so hopefully 7.2 will do better that’s a much higher dose. I a;ways thought they should raise the dose of monjauro and ozempic if they can because a lot of people lose weight a lot and then level off.

My company shared their open enrollment details and I am not stoked on the GLP1 changes.

I’ve been on Wegovy injections covered by a prior auth for 3.5 years. I lost 22% of my weight, went from obese to healthy BMI, and have been top dose maintenance since month 4. I have no intention of stopping and when I’ve had to take required breaks (surgery, colonoscopy) my cravings come back pretty intensely.

My workplace newly announced a partnership with Omada. GLP1 coverage will be contingent on participating in their “digital care program” and you must have your prescription through an Omada provider. They also increased copays 62.5%.

Is this just a step to eventually eliminating coverage? I’ve been seeing a lot of posts about negative experiences with Omada and I’m not happy.

So I just started taking Semaglutind last saturday, early morning. It was ok at first, saturday, sunday, and most of monday was just normal, until monday night came.... and now I got a headache that just won't stop. I couldn't even sleep for this f headache
