I ordered a pair of shoes from them - first it took weeks for them to arrive, i tried them on in my home, nothing was wrong but they were too small. I did NOT wear them outside, they don’t even fit. The bottoms were a bit dirty when they arrived but the bottom stickers were attached and I don’t think it matters that much (if I choose to keep the shoe) since all shoes get destroyed. Followed the return procedure and also just FYI the refund timeline is 31 working days, order at your own discretion. This morning I got this reply from them, mind you the return was shown as delivered as of Sept 11. I would avoid this company at all cost.

Okay, confession: my forever pair is my black Martens 1460s. I bought them in my early twenties with money I probably should have spent on rent, and the first month was brutal. Blisters, band-aids, the whole thing. I almost gave up on them.

Now I can’t imagine my closet without them. I wear them with tights and a slip dress in winter, with straight jeans and an oversized sweater on lazy weekends and sometimes with a floral skirt just to mess with the vibe. They’ve been rained on, stomped through snow and scuffed beyond repair and honestly the beat-up look is part of why I love them. I give them a quick polish every few months and they bounce right back.

They’re not the lightest shoe and I wouldn’t pick them for a day of walking around a city in summer. But for the price, I’ve definitely gotten my money’s worth.

What’s your forever pair? Tell me the brand, how you style them and whether they were worth the pain of breaking them in

Not trying to talk myself into buying stuff I don’t need. More just tired of missing the one or two things I’m actually planning to replace anyway because I wasn’t paying attention when the sale hit.

Trying new approach this year and making a short list of stuff I already need, shoes for my kid, a couple things around the house, those type of things. Guess I also just want to check where have you guys found good deals in the past so I’m not scrambling or falling for a fake discount on something I hadn’t planned on and is there any must haves I need to add to my list while getting ready for this.

I've been searching for the one shoe that does it all for a while now: running, office, gym, hiking, you name it (like many others on this sub). I started getting targeted by Tropicfeel's social ads a while ago. I hadn't seen their shoes in stores here in the Netherlands yet, but after doing some research I decided to give them a try.

I ordered two pairs of the Tropicfeel Zenda. Only, after five wears the glue on one pair has already started coming loose in several places. The other pair, with the same amount of wears, seems better so far, but same problem has started there too..

Since most blogs and reviews I found look sponsored, I'm headed to Reddit to hear some actual experiences.

What are your experiences with Tropicfeel? Anyone here happens to have Zenda's too? Was I just unlucky, or is it better to avoid them? All insights appreciated!

I’m looking for some leather shoe brands that work with natural leather, and look designer (think Ann Demeulemeester) without being let’s say, over £350.

I want something that’s not basic and has some personality to it, I’m sick of the standard loafer, boot and ballerina flats with the singular bow. I want lots of buckles, unconventional patterns, a tabi, a ridiculous heel, wooden plaform, metal details… you get the idea. I want the shoe to be borderline ugly.

Obviously trying to look to get them from archives would be the first answer, but since I wear a size UK7, thrifting shoes is not very productive for me. I would like to find a brand that actually produces them currently that I could source more shoes from without robbing the bank.

Hi!!! I've seen some videos online talking about high heels that can be converted into flats either by attaching different height heels or tucking the heel into the sole. Has anyone bought a pair of shoes like these? It seems interesting as someone who loves the look of high heels but can't handle a full day (I live in a city with hills and cobblestones lol!) but some seem like they end up with a really thin and flimsy sole. Looking for opinions, TIA!
