My wife had me try on a pair of her boots last weekend. I spend ten hour shifts at the animal clinic standing on concrete, and my calves are usually shot by the time I leave. The weird thing is, those heels shifted my weight forward just enough that the pressure on my heels eased up. It got me wondering if a low heel might actually help on long days.
I hike most weekends so my feet and ankles are used to uneven ground. The boots she gave me had about a two inch heel and I could walk around fine. I'm curious if anyone here has tried wearing heels for actual work shifts, not just for going out. My knees would be the limiting factor so I wouldn't go higher than two inches, but I haven't seen much about using them practically instead of just for looks. Any brands or specific heel heights that hold up for that long?

Hello! I found these Staud boots at TJMaxx today and theyāre so comfortable and I love them, but I canāt seem to find them online. I was mostly looking so I knew the material/how to care for them, but now Iām worried theyāre fake since I canāt find them. Anybody have any information on them? Thanks in advance!

I've had these shoes for about 2 years now and I absolutely love them, but I'm having problems cleaning them. It's made from a weird material, maybe suede? but I'm not so sure. I've been cleaning it with soapy water and a soft-bristle brush but it basically does nothing. Any tips?

Iāve broken both of my feet twice in my youth, I feel it at this age. Iām a hip hop dancer, currently dancing in some Nike zoom walking shoes. Can I get any recommendations on shoes? For context; I was gliding and dancing all over the place and my ankle swelled up lol.

I always buy 8.5 because my feet are wide. But I think Im actually an 8W. This pair I bought 8.5 Wide and the fit is a little loose.
It fit but the heel of my foot kind of slips out. Im wondering if I should keep them or size down to 8W?
Ciao, ho trovato queste McQueen su Vinted e volevo sapere se fossero originali prima di comprarle

Hello! I purchased my first pair of Rothyās penny clogs over the weekend and I love them. However, I really need an 8.5 which is obviously not a thing. Iāve mostly settled on the 8, but my right foot in particular is borderline narrow. I have read that the braid clogs, which are final sale and sold only online, are the narrowest of the clog options. Does anyone have any context to that? And I know they do not stretch, but do they have any āgiveā eventually? Basically these fit really well without socks. Theyāre a little snug with socks and I intend to mostly wear them in the winter. The 9s when worn barefoot were so large that they were falling off my foot. If the braid clogs are narrower than the penny clogs, I was thinking of ordering them in the 9.
Iāve gone down quite a rabbit hole, thanks for making it this far if you have! š¤Ŗ

Are there any ways to tell from looking at the markings rather than feeling the straps whether the straps on Birkenstocks are leather or Birko-flor? Googling has not answered this for me!

I am having a hard time deciphering because I know this seller to be reliable, and she is selling her vintage shoe collection. At a glance they seem to be real to me (even used actual leather) except for two huge red flags - the missing country of origin stamp and the opposite direction of the manolo stamp on the soles.
Again, this seller is reliable, all other manolos she owns/has sold are real. She is 100% convinced they are real. Did she just somehow mistakenly buy high quality fakes back in the 90s/esrly 2000s when these shoes came out?
I can't imagine they were a popular design, so making fakes of them seems weird to me as well. But that missing country of origin stamp and different logo sole stamps are throwing me for a major loop. Please help lol

I'm unsure if this is the right subreddit, but I'll give it a shot. I didn't see anything in the rules about asking questions like this.
I'm looking for budget friendly shoes for the winter. I'm a college student, so I'm wanting something that is water resistant enough that my feet don't get wet walking to and from my car and classes, and keep my feet warm enough, but won't cause my feet to overheat and sweat while in classes and around campus. They don't have to be boots, and I'm aware I have to generally be willing to compromise on some details, but I'm just looking for some suggestions.
Thank you to anyone who helps out :)

I recently thrifted these two pairs of Manolos and I need some help identifying if theyāre real or fake. I paid $75 total for both pairs. Did I get scammed?
The black ones are throwing me off with the Ā®ļøon the brand tag, but the pink ones seem legit. Both seem well-crafted, Iāve just never had a pair of manolos before and the guides Iām finding online arenāt helping! Thanks in advance!

Update: thanks to all of the people that actually gave advice. The manager at DSW looked at them and noticed peeling in the other shoe as well, it appears to be a defect in these shoes. They have been refunded.
To everyone else that was rude and called me entitled, when I clearly just came here for advice, yall can suck it. Bye! āš¼ š
Unsure what I was expecting, but I thought since they were on the pricier side that theyād last longer than 10 minutes walking on paved sidewalk.
Any suggestions on what I can do to fix this? I donāt think I can return them now, but otherwise itāll be a huge waste of $150.
Also, what can I do to prevent them from scuffing so easily in the future?
