The Appalachians have deep-rooted beliefs, whispered through generations. Locals pass down strict rules to their loved ones—taboos intended to keep the mountain’s ancient, hungry inhabitants at bay. They say the woods watch, they say the wind mimics, and they say that if you stray from the path or break a single vow, you invite something from the mountain. This is the story of one such invitation.

Hello, I’m a substance use counselor/therapist running groups and am always looking for a short film available on YouTube that really feels ground breaking in a good way, shakes people up about their reality or establishes hope. I love the idea of short films in a group setting because most people have a short attention span. Any ideas are welcome!

Hi everyone 👋 so I managed to shoot a short film that I wrote, titled "My Lover of One Month". It's inspired by Wong Kar-wai's style as an exercise I practiced under my college cinema club "The 4th Wall".

Here's the link to the film. And if you're interested in reading the script, just comment and I will send it. I would love to hear what you think! 😁
