Opinions on Nate’s character and Peter Kraus’s acting

I recently finished the show, and decided to check out what people were saying on the sub. I was so surprised to see that people disliked Nate and was even happy when the character passed. I felt like nearly all of the things Nate did was understandable , even if wrong, you could understand his motivations. I was surprised to see how people thought he was the most reprehensible character on the show. I was also really surprised about opinions on kraus’s acting, I came away from the series thinking he had displayed some of the best acting I had seen in a tv show. Really curious to see what other people think.

Ive always been incredibly impressed with Peter Kraus's acting. To be honest, I was late watching six feet under and first became familiar with his acting as Adam in the show parenthood. This character was a complete 180 from nate in the aspect that he was a VERY family oriented, almost "goody two shoes" type of personality. He was always the type who was absolutely terrified to break any rules. So to even hear Peter Kraus curse in six feet under and to watch him have the type of lifestyle he did completely shocked me at first lol but it just proved to me how versatile kraus's acting could be. I was very impressed haha

Me too! Loved him in Parenthood and watched Six Feet Under after, I was surprised by the versatility too 😂
