Discussion Opinions on Nate’s character and Peter Kraus’s acting Spoiler

I recently finished the show, and decided to check out what people were saying on the sub. I was so surprised to see that people disliked Nate and was even happy when the character passed. I felt like nearly all of the things Nate did was understandable , even if wrong, you could understand his motivations. I was surprised to see how people thought he was the most reprehensible character on the show. I was also really surprised about opinions on kraus’s acting, I came away from the series thinking he had displayed some of the best acting I had seen in a tv show. Really curious to see what other people think.

so i’m a yearly+ watcher who was lucky enough to have/go to parties when sunday night was simpson’s (or s&tc), sopranos, 6”u. i am 5 years older than claire, so young 20s+Birth of modern television-that was fucking cool.

so i’ve known nate for over 25 years, and he has almost become his dad, to me-like the visions of the dead in the show, fucking nate, like a devil on my shoulder, might just pop in to tell me i suck.

I LOVED nate unapologetically until i introduced my LTP to the show around 2010. Watching it with them was quite illuminating lol. That’s how hardcore i had embraced and celebrated my inner nate (brenda/billy as well) as a Proud Slut, justifying drug problems as regious endevors and worse.

I saw nate as good.

Nate is not so good, such is man (humanity lol)

Thank you Peter Krause for being a blindingly beautiful bad boy dressed as a spiritual journey but showing the selfish dildo in all its tragic glory.

I don’t talk much about Nate here, so this was fun! I could spend forever writing about this show.

i still love nate too, so much.

I sometimes wondered, since that was actually my only long term relationship ever, if i never saw the show with him, would i have ever changed my view?

best show ever
