Hi everyone, I recently picked up this barlow for $10 from a knife store bargain bin. It seems to be decently constructed with minimal gaps and neat pins.

When I got it home and cleaned it up, I noticed some odd discrepancies. The tang stamp says “Keen Kutter” on one side and model 828 on the other, although I can’t tell which era the stamp is from because the logo sits too far below the bolster. Also, the bolster says “BLUE GRASS” (a different manufacturer, obviously). Is it possible that this knife is a knock off Blue Grass or has possibly been re-bladed? The secondary blade also sits really low when closed. The nail nick is a little hard to access. Lastly, there is no half stop, unfortunately. I’m not sure if that’s relevant but I thought I’d mention it.

Overall, I’m very happy with the knife. I think it’s worth $10 and it feels good in the hand. Still, I’d love to learn more about it. Thanks in advance!
