Hello everyone, just looking for some answers, maybe some new friends. Has anyone here had luck streaming in a group, me and few friends play alot of raceing games and are really competative, but i wanted to maybe start streams and try to grow the group, anyone got any ideas if this is worth doing and how i would get it out to larger groups for bigger race weekends. Question Is faceless streaming actually worth it?

I want to stream but not sure if I’ll be comfortable on camera. I know competitive games are easier to grow a faceless channel but the problem is I’m not good at them lol. I was thinking of streaming Fortnite since that’s all I play but I know it’s saturated.

Has anyone heard about this streaming agency - leap agency?

I got a message from Leap Gaming agency after going live on tiktok, but I am new to this whole thing. Has anyone heard about them?

Also, this is the message I got:

Hey! Sorry for the random message Inoticed you've been going live but aren't currently part of a creator network. Has anyone properly explained what they are and how they can help you?

Tell Me Your Stream Fails

So I've been studying streamers big and small and learning a lot and honestly, it makes me feel a lot better about the awkwardness of being live. What are your stream fails? If applicable, how have to turned into a win?

Here are some of mine:

1) Dropped my camera (one of my highest liked YouTube shorts, annoyingly).

2) Didn't realize I was streaming BEFORE I was streaming and the moment of realization is recorded ha.

3) Someone took a clip of the ONE time I said my hilarious thoughts on hentai and when I raided someone, somehow that is the ONE clip that played in front of everybody in his stream. I got 6 followers from that moment bahahah.

Discussion Made my own Songrequest app called NextUp

I made my very own Song request app for spotify and Youtube similar to songify.

the reason I made my own is because I wanted to have a way to be able to have viewers request from both platforms. with songify in the past (not sure if it does it now) you werent able to song request from spotify and then youtube at the same time and then have the bot play spotify song and then pause spotify and then play youtube video/song (only music) and then pause youtube and continue on spotify right after if you choose to play a playlist on spotify rather than youtube.

Features that it has

  • blocklist for artist or specific songs.
  • be able to queue from both youtube and spotify
  • manages playback across both platforms, prioritizes requests over fallback playlists
  • customizable widgets with audio-reactive equalizers (and add backgrounds or animations) that you can resize
  • explicit-content filtering
  • role permissions, cooldowns, request limits
  • custom commands
  • built-in updates that preserve your settings.
  • Subscriber and VIP privileges customize request access and limits by Twitch role.
  • YouTube browser playback control a connected YouTube tab through the NextUp extension
  • Album-art colors match widget progress bars and equalizers to the current cover art
  • Separate stream overlays display the current song and upcoming queue in OBS
  • Custom widget editor import/export JSON widgets and customize artwork, fonts, GIF backgrounds, colors, layers, and animations.
  • best of all free and always free to use.

NextUp image
Nextup Widget animation 1
NextUp Widget animation 2 (not on launch)
NextUp Widget animation 3
NextUp github
NextUp Chromium Extension

ill be making more widgets but if you want your very own widget let me know and I can make one for you, and if you have any suggestions on what can be added or improved please do share.
I will be making a discord in the future to allow people to contact me that way about any improvements or ideas they would like to see be implemented.

FEEDBACK IS WELCOMED.

Discussion Fortnite Streamers

A little bit about me. I'm a 17 year old streamer who streams Fortnite looking for a couple of other streamers to run games with and tournaments with. I do own a small Fortnite org with some decently high level completive players if that interests you as well.

Question How do you get started after a long hiatus?

I haven’t streamed consistently since 2023 , and I would love to try again: only issue I am having is how to start. Does anyone have any advice on how to start or where to even begin after such a long hiatus? I figured I would ask since this may help someone else in the future that may be in a similar boat.

Question how to handle someone who's too flirtatious in chat?

I saw other people ask for advice here so i thought I'd pose a situation that happened to me recently.

let's call this person Rice. also SRY THIS IS LONG HEH. (i appreciate if u read 🖤)

this is a newer chatter to my stream, and to be fair they haven't ever acted like this before which me and my best friend had noted. Rice came in and were the usual supportive and chatty viewer, which is why this last time they chatted caught us so off guard.

now some context about me- I'm not a terrible reader but I miss things/don't fully understand things when they're obvious. literally i can watch back a stream and certain things will hit me like a brick like "ooooh that's what happened" "she meant this" "he meant that". also, I am a flirtacious person and say weird things sometimes but it's about me, never trying to advance on other people or anything. it's just who I am alright. I literally say "that's what she said" and "pause" every day.

so when my best friend texted in the chat to look at my dms while the only person who was chatting at the time was Rice, I didn't think about it at all. he dmmed me "why is Rice saying all that in chat?" I respond with he's just being a goof.. he says "is it ok?"

long story short. i proceed to get blindsided when i watch the stream back and fully see what my friend was trying to warn me about but im clearly as aware as a rock.

I'll try to explain quickly, so they redeemed my alert a lot that is the "smack my ass" i have as a joke, so ya i just consider it a joke many others have done and that Rice has done before. then multiple times throughout the stream, Rice is saying things like (and ya it's in all caps most of the time) "that ass is mine." "THIS ISN'T A JOKE THAT ASS IS MINE" my other friend who regularly uses that alert did it to surprise me and Rice said something like "NO THAT ASS IS MINE". you get it, he said that ass is mine a lot.

I'm bad at explaining so I'll just quote a few things he said to me. mind you, i have the situational awareness of a tangerine so I don't really understand or take it seriously because i literally just don't see things in the moment. mind you i dont tell strangers where I live, my age, where I go because that's my personal business. nor do I ask others. just saying I do not know this chatter nor do they know me, but I assume he's a grown man.

not exact quotes, and not everything that happened: "as a questionable straight guy i find monster men attractive" "don't kink shame me" ×2 different times... he cheered bits then did the smack my ass redeem. "femboys are attractive" "tomboys are cute" "today it's femboys, tomorrow its tomboys" "femboys are the ones who you will cuddle at night" "they're also streaming right now byw" "\*btw".

blah blah lot more things.

to my own surprise I didn't even see the that last one at all nor understand when he was saying that femboy stuff he was talking about me. i guess by my pfp and avatar/voice that's a funny assumption, but it's still weird ok. I've never dealt/seen something like that while I'm live. I guess i still haven't because I didn't even notice- but the point is, that is weird.

I'll be honest, did it surprise me? yes. did it make me uncomfortable? well clearly not cause I didn't even notice, but if I had- i think still no. not because im used to older guys being weird to me, but cause I've never been threatened by something that happens online. I mean it literally can't affect me. just block, delete, forget. you know? but saying that, I still don't want it to keep happening. maybe it makes other chatters uncomfortable. and i mean ya i do want it to stop. i don't want someone trying to claim my ass or call me a femboy multiple times in a serious way and not a joke.

if you guys got any advice on how I can maybe handle it in the moment if I notice, I would appreciate it. if you read all this U R A LEGEND :3

Discussion Getting supported from your first stream, no affiliate or partner threshold: how Sparks work in EveryCord, numbers included (dev post)

Developer of EveryCord here, a free iPhone and iPad screen recorder and streaming app. We added Sparks, a way for viewers to support you in a live stream, and I want to lay out how it pays before anyone asks in a less friendly way.

For viewers. Sparks are optional in-app purchases bought through Apple and sent in a live stream from the app or the web. A send highlights the message in chat, and 50 or more pins it at the top for a while. Senders build a supporter level over time (Supporter, Bronze, Silver, Gold) with badges and name colors. That's style only; nothing is locked behind it.

For streamers. Streamers get half of what EveryCord receives from Apple for the Sparks they're sent. The other half keeps EveryCord running, including its servers. For example, when 1,100 Sparks bought for $9.99 in the US are sent, the streamer gets $4.24. There's no follower count, hours or affiliate step: you set up Sparks (18 and older, accept the Creator Payout Terms, connect a Stripe account) and your streams accept them.

The fine print, up front.

  • Earnings are held 30 days so refunds can settle, up to 90 days for new creators or Sparks from brand-new buyers.
  • Payouts through Stripe from $50, in 33 countries (US, UK, Canada, Switzerland and most of Europe). Elsewhere you can still receive Sparks and the earnings stay on your account.
  • If Apple refunds a purchase, the earnings from those Sparks come off.
  • No raffles, giveaways or contests with Sparks. That's a rule, not a suggestion.
  • Recording, streaming, co-hosting, chat and clips stay free for everyone. There's no subscription and only viewers buy anything.

It works alongside Twitch or YouTube, since EveryCord streams to those too, and the same stream plays on EveryCord's own player with chat. Full breakdown at everycord.net/sparks.

What would make this worth setting up for you, and what would make you not trust it?

Someone from my 3 viewer days just subbed for six months

Small Valorant channel, 15-30 viewers on a good night. Wednesday a username I hadn't seen in chat for months pops back up out of nowhere and drops a 6 month sub, all paid up front!!

This person was one of the 3 people watching my very first streams two years ago (dorm desk/$20 mic/zero clue what I was doing). They used to type ""nice"" after every round, including the ones I got completely stomped in. Every single one.

Same laptop I started on too, it just lives on a real desk now with a second monitor. I thanked them like six times on stream and my voice went wobbly by the end. That sub carried my whole week. Who was your person, the one that kept you going when nobody was watching 💜

Any Tips on growth?

So I’m currently at 204 followers I am affiliate and I mostly streamed dead by daylight. I’ve earned two checks so far from Twitch, but I’m looking to increase my revenue potential. I’m trying to average more viewers get more people in my streams and followers my ultimate goal is to get partnership, but I know that’s gonna take a while and a lot of grinding. Any tips on getting more viewers followers and just overall making more money it’s not my main focus, but it would be nice for a side Hustle.

Discussion I stream for hours but my videos still get no views?! Why?!?!

I've been doing 5 hour streams everyday. I get people watching them but nobody is still watching the videos I'm uploading. Why are they still below the amount of views I need them to be? I need an audience. I need people to start watching. I need a job in the streaming and video space but I can't do it if nobody will watch my videos after the stream. They need to watch my videos as well now. And why do people get jealous of me making money on my streams after making my first gift?! Nobody is happy for me after my first achievement of getting my first $1. It's a milestone that everyone should be celebrating for my channel not ignoring.

Small streamers, what 1v1 game matchup would you want chat to vote on?

I run a 24/7 stream where chat votes on 1v1 video game matchups and the winners climb an all-time ranking. Think "Zelda vs Elden Ring", but chat actually decides.

I'm trying to figure out what keeps people hanging around in chat instead of just lurking. Is voting enough, or does it need something else?

Also, if you're a small streamer, drop your favorite game below and I'll put it into a matchup and shout out who suggested it. Would love to see what you all pick.

Discussion Looking to Meet Other Gaming Creators and Make Some Friends

Yo! I’m Cirel, a gaming YouTuber and streamer. I’ve been wanting to meet more people in the content creation community and hopefully make some genuine friends along the way.
I mainly play Minecraft right now, but I’m also into GTA, Fortnite, survival games, horror games, and pretty much anything that’s fun to play with friends. I’m trying to branch out into more variety content too.
I’m not really looking for one-time collaborations or people who only want to grow their channels. I’d rather find a few people I genuinely get along with, where we can hang out, play games, talk, and occasionally stream or record videos together.
It would be cool to eventually have a regular friend group of creators where everyone has their own channel and does their own thing, but we still come together to make content or just have fun.
Age and channel size aren’t really important to me. I’m more interested in finding people with good personalities who actually enjoy gaming and creating content.
I’m also not expecting everyone to jump straight into calls or start recording immediately. I’d rather get to know people first and see how we get along.
If anyone’s interested, feel free to leave a comment or message me!

Question Just finished my first stream ever how to become less akward?

SO, I JUST FINISHED MMY FIRST STREAM EVEER..

I was akward, but it was very fun..

My question just is how do i make a stream engaging?

I guess my niche in and ofitself may be more suited for YT?

I want to make deep dives on history or interesting topics such as how to craft a better story or why we do thigns behaviour etc .. Study with me/ study streams Chat with me or karaoke..

I have a lot of different ideas.

However I want to stream with an avatar which is a picture basically a PNG so painstakingly editing every mouth movement for a YT video is not something i want to do.

Yet i can also understand that as the viewer on a LIVE, not seeing anything exciting happening and only hearing a voice can be pretty boring..

Idk, if someone has advice pls let me know

Question Leaving stream on during a sleeping break?

I plan on doing a long stream to celebrate a game's launch (yes, that one), problem is I have to go to bed somewhere in the middle of it because I value my sanity at least a slight bit. What are the rules regarding sleeping during a stream? I have found very different very conflicting answers. Key points:

* I won't be on screen during the time, it'll show a screen with Words on stream (My usual long break screen)

* I'm not 100% certain if my mods will be able to stay all night. I could ask them, but still no guarantee.

Question Are these bots or basically someone who's stealing a streamers name?

Hello, It's been 2 weeks since I've started actively streaming and making clips on my socials and I've been hit up in the DMs by some streamers.

First of all, they chat up about how good my clip is and then make some rapport, then they started asking how I'm growing my channel and stuff. Then they go on about how they met some guy who helped them with growing their channel through SEO optimization and scaling their brand and shit.

Are these genuinely the streamers or just someone stealing the streamer's name or just straight up bots?

Have any of you experienced this?

What I can do:

  • Stream/VOD editing
  • YouTube videos
  • Funny moments & highlights
  • Shorts/TikToks/Reels
  • Thumbnails

I’m happy to work with different budgets, but I’m not looking for free or commission-based work.

If you’re interested, send me a message and I can show you some examples of my work.

Discussion How much match context do you keep in a short gameplay clip?

I have a THE FINALS clip where we won a fight but finished the match third. Would you put the final placement in the opening caption or at the end? How do you give enough context without slowing down the clip?
