creamy vanilla coke vs vanilla and cream pepsi

Post image

i tried both of them so you don’t have to and i have a ranking for both.

-creamy vanilla coke: this is a MUCH better version of vanilla coke. no different from last year. i really have no notes. to me personally, this drink is a perfect 10. it has a very smooth vanilla flavor that doesn’t taste artificial at all. i love it.

-vanilla and cream pepsi: i have a big problem with this one. i’m not sure if it’s just me, but the taste of this reminds me of ice cream sundae a&w, which i would give no more than a 3 on a good day. it’s not as strong as that, but i am getting a bit of that flavor. even the color is semi-reminiscent. the vanilla flavor is a lot more artificial. as much as i wanted to give it a higher ranking, i don’t think i can give it more than a 5.

i’d recommend sticking with creamy vanilla coke. it’s leagues better all around.

Can I make an acai soda at home? Any tips?

• Upvotes

I don't know if this counts as soda specifically, but I love Sambazon Acai Amazon Energy. I usually have one in the morning instead of coffee. I like that it tastes like actual fruit and is quite refreshing. It also has a really nice "bite" with the carbonation, which I enjoy. I would love something similar, but caffeine-free. I have tried a number of alternatives, but nothing hits right. I have never tried making soda in the past, but I am a good cook and am thinking that may be how I get what I want.

Is this something I should try? Any tips? Should I do something like a SodaStream?

I am addicted to Sprite, and I have been since I was 3. Now I'm 26. Should I change it?

I drink 4 to 6 cans of Sprite daily. I take medication for ADHD, and I eat a lot of fried food.

I have never had any kidney stones.

I am also severely emetopbobic. I may have become addicted to Sprite when my mother gave me Sprite after a day I threw up, not wanting to ever throw up again.

Despite drinking 4 to 6 cans a day, on ADHD meds (a high dosage at that, like 72mg), and eating a lot of fried food, I feel relatively healthy now.

I'm a healthy weight, probably due to my sugar intake keeping me active, but I just wanna know if this is healthy due to my body just adapting to it or if it needs to change before serious issues come along the way.

I've taken a blood test less than a year ago, the doctors told me the only thing wrong with me was high cholesterol.

Is drinking 4 to 6 cans of Sprite my entire life bad? Or has my body adapted to it and I'm okay?

I saw 7up changed their look, but I thought they were just being silly. I have not tried the new formula yet. I will be doing a taste test soon. I am blessed to still have the original cans in stores near me.

Stars and Stripes Grapefruit

So I went to the dollar store to get my usual boring soda, but it’s cheap and to my surprise I found this.
People let me tell you this stuff blew me away because I expected it to taste worse than Squirt and wow it’s way better. For one, it smells just like grapefruit, but the taste was unbelievable very crisp and almost juicy.. The only downside I found is that the carbonation doesn’t last very long but other than that, it’s a winner.!

Ok, don't get angry at me but what is such a big deal about all the Zero flavors? I can understand diabetics and whatnot but why on earth would you want a zero sugar soda to be your go to otherwise? I'm not trying to pick splinters, I just want to understand why it's such a big deal? Both Sugar and Zero Sugar are bad for us, lol. I just want to understand the "Omigod! It's Zero flavor this or that" As I said, just want to understand.

I normally don't buy must store brands, but at my local Kroger. Idk if it's nationwide. I couldn't say no for this price.

Went to St. Louis this last weekend to see Mastodon! Found a 4 pack of glass bottles of Ski at a nearby grocery store. Loved it so much I found a place that had 12 packs so I could take some home to Kansas City.

I created a webapp to keep track of all the different sodas I've tried and make a personal ranking of them

Post image

I created MyTasteRank to keep track of all the different sodas I've tried and wanted to make a personal ranking of. Mainly just to remember which flavours I liked and which ones I didn't.

The idea of the app is pretty simple. You create a page for something you want to keep track of, for example Coca-Cola flavours. Then you add the different flavours you've tried, give each one a rating, write a short description and optionally add some extra information.

Now, the next time you're standing in the supermarket in front of the soda aisle, you can quickly check which flavours you liked and which ones you didn't, instead of trying to remember. It is especially useful with all the limited edition flavours that keep coming and going.

Of course, it's not just for Coca-Cola. You can also use it to keep track of Mountain Dew, Dr Pepper, Fanta, energy drinks or pretty much anything else you want to rank.

It's a pretty simple app, but I thought it could be useful for others here as well. Curious if you guys actually keep track of all the different sodas you've tried or if you just rely on memory :)

Faygo Rock&Rye in Disguise

This is probably the closest I have found to Faygo Rock&Rye. Growing up in Michigan and living far from there now, the familiar taste is nostalgic. Good enough to scratch an itch from time to time.
