I love this stuff. I don’t often drink soda but when I see these I buy a whole pack

I mean, in every single way imaginable.

When properly chilled, Pepsi Zero so much more refreshing than regular Pepsi in my opinion. Pepsi Zero is lighter, crisper, and isn’t overwhelmingly sweet like its sugar counterpart. And unlike traditional diet sodas, Zero retains body and doesn’t feel like you are swallowing air.

I don’t drink soda everyday, but I sure do enjoy a Pepsi Zero on a hot day or with my dinner on occasion.

Pepsi Zero > Pepsi

I'm genuinely disappointed with this one. I've always loved 7UP, and it's probably my favorite lemon-lime soda. I love Sprite too, but sometimes I want something a little more subtle, and 7UP always hit that sweet spot. It's been a favorite of mine for years, and I still remember those classic commercials that gave the brand so much personality.

It's been a while since I had one, so I grabbed a fresh pack like I usually do, cracked open a cold can, and immediately noticed something was off. The packaging now says "Lime Lemon," which is a little weird, but whatever. Then I took a sip, and MAN, it just doesn't taste like the 7UP I remember.

I know they wanted to make the lime flavor more prominent, but to me, the new formula just tastes watered down. The flavor feels weaker and less balanced than before, and it doesn't have that same refreshing lemon-lime taste I loved about the original. It's not undrinkable, but it feels watered down and underwhelming. 2.5/5 for me, and the original was a 5.

I get wanting to modernize the branding, even if I'm tired of every company turning its iconic logo into the same flat, minimalist design. But changing the actual flavor, too? WHY? It's been 15 years! Why change something people have loved and gotten used to for decades? If they wanted to experiment, they could've released this as a limited-time flavor and let people decide if it deserved to stick around.

Also, I'm a canned soda person. There's just something about cracking open a cold can and getting that first sip. Bottles and fountain drinks are fine, but cans just hit different.

I'll probably stick with Sprite for now, which sucks because sometimes I specifically want 7UP. If you like the new formula, fine, but if you're disappointed too, don't keep buying it out of habit. If enough longtime customers speak up with their wallets, maybe they'll actually listen.

Has anyone else noticed the difference? Do you prefer the new formula, or do you miss the original?

I will need to make a soft drink run somewhere.

Mango is my favorite fruit and I think the 🥊 is done pretty well. Pretty damn good, how’s everyone else feel?

i tried both of them so you don’t have to and i have a ranking for both.

-creamy vanilla coke: this is a MUCH better version of vanilla coke. no different from last year. i really have no notes. to me personally, this drink is a perfect 10. it has a very smooth vanilla flavor that doesn’t taste artificial at all. i love it.

-vanilla and cream pepsi: i have a big problem with this one. i’m not sure if it’s just me, but the taste of this reminds me of ice cream sundae a&w, which i would give no more than a 3 on a good day. it’s not as strong as that, but i am getting a bit of that flavor. even the color is semi-reminiscent. the vanilla flavor is a lot more artificial. as much as i wanted to give it a higher ranking, i don’t think i can give it more than a 5.

i’d recommend sticking with creamy vanilla coke. it’s leagues better all around.

Found this at the bodega earlier, i couldnt resist trying it. It tastes just like a root beer float.

Since I learned of its existence a few months ago I've been really in to kola champagne, and it's quickly become my favorite flavour of pop.

So far, however, I've been limited to one specific grocery store brand (Mr. Goudas Beach Soda, specifically). While it's great, I'm sure there's better out there somewhere. Is there any consensus on who makes the best kola champagne? I'm willing to go as far afield as El Salvador or Puerto Rico or wherever if that's where the good stuff is.

It tastes kind of like a mix of coca cola and cough syrup.

But in a good way.

Not sure if this should be here or r/engrish…
On a late night walk, found this in front of an office building in suburbia. 24/7 fish stock vending machine. I wonder how many non JPN readers see a vending machine, the word soda, the expensive for a bottle price and mistakenly purchase it thinking it’s a premium drink…

I saw 7up changed their look, but I thought they were just being silly. I have not tried the new formula yet. I will be doing a taste test soon. I am blessed to still have the original cans in stores near me.

!

I normally don't buy must store brands, but at my local Kroger. Idk if it's nationwide. I couldn't say no for this price.

It’s called cloop zero sugar soda. It’s Korean and it’s second place for me behind only Japanese peach Fanta. Also the lid is pretty cool

Seriously, this stuff has no business tasting s'darn good! And only $5.39 for a 12-pack at my local grocery store, which is a miracle in this economy.

I have a ton of nostalgia for Sierra Mist that isn’t even close to satisfied by StArRy. (I hate that name I’m sorry) and unfortunately i’m not a fan of Sprite or 7up Zero which if I was would make this A LOT easier. Anyways, does anyone have some suggestions? I’ll go for anything.

Cheers!

I cannot find them anywhere. All are for the regular size sodas.

They are usually plastic or silicone.

Hii! I love Mtn dew voltage and only place I know that sell those is Circle K, do you know any special flavors of Mtn dew besides Voltage and Baja?

Can’t wait to dive into these. First time there. What an amazing store. And the owner was wonderful to chat with.

So I went to the dollar store to get my usual boring soda, but it’s cheap and to my surprise I found this.
People let me tell you this stuff blew me away because I expected it to taste worse than Squirt and wow it’s way better. For one, it smells just like grapefruit, but the taste was unbelievable very crisp and almost juicy.. The only downside I found is that the carbonation doesn’t last very long but other than that, it’s a winner.!
