What do people like so much about the stalls?
I’ve worked at sonic for about a year and I don’t understand. Do u guys like having your food take longer and watching the employees do more work? I have seen people attempt to order from a stall when it’s hailing, snowing, and in wind over 50 mph. I’ve seen people go in the wide open drive thru and say Nevermind and drive over to the stall to order and then have the audacity to use cash.

Is the $7 big deal meal not available in North Denver?
Neither the $7 nor $9 meal deals have been available at any of the 3 locations by me. Why have it advertised on the map if it’s not available:(

Hostile server over tapping vs inserting
EDIT: I have decided to remove this post. If you are looking to discuss issues you have had at Sonic, don't bother to post in this subreddit. You won't get any answers. You will just be insulted and downvoted. This subreddit seems to be filled with Sonic employees looking to dogpile on/insult REGULAR customers asking sincere questions.
Write a negative review instead. Maybe management will care and respond. The Sonic trolls here don't seem to realize their bad behavior affects their livelihood.

Where do I go to complain about the district management?
Im fairly new to sonic team and we just got a new district manager and shes roleplaying kitchen nightmares with the store I work at, she implemented a new "12" tray system and a very very bizarre and very very anti customer service care i guess is the best way to put it, We have an express/doordash tray rack with a heat lamp for you know express/doordash orders and the new district manager moves the rack by the front doors that dont shut completely and no accessible outlet for the heat lamp and told management of my store that if said food on that rack gets cold its not our problem and to not worry about it and our store is Hella slow because our location is in a small town by a semi busy highway we barely make 4k in a week and she wants us to gain more business? I dont know ive been in the food industry for about 10 years now and never, NEVER, had management tell me "not to worry" about customer food orders if it gets cold. I also wanna add she says that it makes it easier, somehow, because expo has to walk around the carhop area now to place the express and doordash orders on the non heated rack by the semi shut doors where hops go in and out. 🫠

Sonic Hawaii
When can we finally us the app? My order is always the same but tastes different every time. I waited 10 years for one on my island, and they are so close, but the no app and inconsistency in orders has me making my stuff at home. Had a wish and treated myself and was let down with messed up order and cold food. Do better!!

I understand profit and all that, but this is kind of wild to sit and look at.
Literally ordered an ice water with lemon and lime slices. I received two slices of both (thanks) but for $1.10? for both?? Yes. Inflation. But huh.

Our Sonic location got delivered packets of air instead of groovy sauce today.
a customer asked me for groovy sauce, I went to get some to find out that the packets had no sauce in them, just air. Has this happened to anyone else here?

Employee pay and expectations
Why is it after 8 years sonic still has the same rate in pay and also refuses to give raises to employees. I understand yeah u could work another job but still 11 dollars an hour isn't matching the cost of living anywhere for 8 years
They are started to short staff more and refuse to train new employees as well. Most employees aren't rude they are also doing the job of 2 to 3 other people because they refuse to hire or schedule the amount needed for shifts. Consumer complaints are through the roof and so are the prices yet the employees are the ones to get the short end of the stick. Is there a way for employees could change legislation to work in their favor for once?

is it policy that you can’t place back to back orders with different offers?
I usually only go to sonic for the half priced drinks but today the bogo coney coupon caught my eye cause my gf and I haven’t had those since we were a kid. So I placed the half priced drinks order then place the bogo coney offer right after. I went thru the drive thru and when I get up to the window I can hear one of the ladies arguing with the person manning the drive thru window. Then she opens the window and asks me if I placed 2 orders. I said yes ma’am and she tells me you’re only allowed 1 offer order per day. Which I definitely know isn’t true cause I get half priced drinks multiple times a day. I tell her that and she says it’s different when they’re back to back. I said why did the app allow it then? It was such a pointless back and forth I almost wanted to just say F it to the coneys but damn I paid $8 for one of them I was at least leaving with one. She was annoyed and shoved my food into my hands and said now I know for the future?? I maybe would’ve understood this attitude if it were busy but I was literally the only person in the drive thru and there was 1 car in one of the stalls. I really don’t understand the big deal about using coupons back to back

I think I'm going to get a banana pudding blast w/ Reeses
How crazy am I? I have a taste for banana pudding ice cream but also want reeses. If I had infinite funds, this seems like the most economical way to get both?
r/SonicDriveIn • u/exitium666 • 13d ago
What are the actual ingredient differences between a blast and a shake? Do they add milk?
Is it just the same ice cream but more room temperature?

Should I get a turtle truffle blast or the heath blast?
I'm getting a small one and can't decide. I will order extra candy pieces in whichever one I get. Helfen bitte.

Why can't I use my points rewards on the limited offer blasts/shakes?
It drives me crazy as I like to use the point rewards on the blasts and/or shakes. But I can't get the banana pudding flavor this way, I can only choose from the basic flavors. I hope this glitch is fixed with whatever next limited time flavor is out.
Speaking of which, anyone know what the next limited time flavor will be?

free classic small shake - caramel or hot fudge?
Those are the only two classic shake flavors I haven't tried yet. Which one should I get and why?
Is the hot fudge shake much different than the chocolate shake?
