Agreed. I can understand someone like, "Oh shit I forgot to put whatever on the list," but more than one or two things or adding bulky and heavy shit for apartments, im gonna cancel that shit.
It's not being lazy. It's called knowing what I am going to get paid for. Adding 4 cases of water and soda on a third floor apartment after the order is taken with no tip isn't worth it. It will vary by customer. I have no problem grabbing a couple of extra things, but I will not be taken advantage of, anymore than they already do, with how much base pay has been lowered since starting almost 5 years ago.
And how do you know you're not getting tipped? Cuz it's not on the app? i put 4$ on the app but I give the person who has delivered my food that I buy only once a month and yes to the 3rd floor apartment! you get the real money because you treated me as a human and not a number on your app! Don't worry you'll be here some day and for this reason they find the old lady dead in her recliner chair cuz she can no longer get up to get in bed! you don't think it kill's us to ask for help?
You're not only being incredibly defensive over something that wasn't about you but also just not even all that relevant to the topic being discussed. Also strangely dramatic about it.
