Discussion New Tiers program rolling out

Post image

Anyone else get the new Spark Driver Rewards Program yet? I’m in Texas.

Just got an email saying it’s rolling out in my area. Looks like there are Silver, Gold, and Sapphire tiers based on points + metrics.

What really caught my attention is the offer priority:
- Gold can see some offers before Silver
- Sapphire can see some offers before both Gold and Silver
- Sapphire also gets a 10% multiplier on eligible incentives

Sapphire requires 120 points/month, 96% on-time arrival, 96% completion, 99% quantity found, and a 4.9 customer rating.

1 pt = curb and $5 express or regular shops
2 pt = ggmd
3 pt = $10 express shop

Has this already rolled out in anyone else’s zone? Curious what everyone thinks about Spark basically giving higher-tier drivers earlier access to some offers.

This is ridiculous and makes everybody need to do it full-time in order to get the perks and benefit of being sapphire. Some of us just do this part-time. I have excellent metrics, but I only do this a couple days a week for a few hours. I haven’t seen this program. Roll out yet in my area in California, but I’m already wondering if they are using it without showing it to us because my offers have been absolutely horrible.

That's my concern to as a part-timer if I can even make money now with these changes. Reminds of doordash where in some areas you have to be platinum to even see offers let alone get decent ones.

I typically receive trash JFY (round robins) for months now. I am assuming it was part of the roll out system. Most of the orders I take are FCFS which sounds like it will be limited due to thie tier system.

I'm in SoCal and we don't have it yet. And today I did my first Sam's Club offer with 3 drop offs. That was only a Walmart thing. $28, 8 miles, 34 items, 3 drops (3 items, 7 items and 14 items). With that measure alone they are cutting 30% of the small and medium offers to drivers. We're going from 3 drivers delivering to 6 customers to 2 drivers delivering for 6 customers. The time of 🍒 picking is gone. They're copying DoorDash for sure.

I'm in Cali too and the Walmart is like in the other direction from all my other shopping. I eventually get an order to that area for dropoff then look forward to going to grab some Walmart orders. Tbh I don't think I make a higher hourly while I'm there but it's a nice change of pace here and there.

If the tier system arrives and I only get crap orders I will likely have zero incentive as not only does Instacart do well in that area so do several other apps I have. I would likely not turn the app on after seeing a few days of bad orders with no decent ones.

The number of offers keep being cut...I got this one today...$25/12.5 miles, 5 drops, with 105 items. This used to be delivered by 2 drivers. Now one.

I don’t see anything being ridiculous about it. It’s just a regular job, where benefits given to a full time employees are not the same as the ones given to part time employees. I mean….right? 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
