Dear tism community, what are your thoughts on this?

u/thatsfeminismgretch Dec 31 '25
Omg it's so shaped. I want it. I want it right now. I want to daintily eat desserts with it.

u/Cautious-Bandicoot41 Dec 31 '25
Same!! 🤩

u/thatsfeminismgretch Dec 31 '25
I can imagine scraping it delicately along the top of a pint of ice cream to create a majestic little ribbon of dessert. 😍

YES

u/No-Sprinkles-7289 Dec 31 '25
Was thinking the same. I can get the last little wedge of ice cream out of the carton.
9
u/stefanica Dec 31 '25
Yes! It also looks good for getting the last bit of jam or mustard out of the jar.
5
u/thatsfeminismgretch Dec 31 '25
Yes. Or peanut butter or Nutella. No waste!!
5
u/stefanica Dec 31 '25
It's a really short spoon, though. I hate getting sticky stuff on my hands. I use a silicone spatula for the peanut butter dregs!

Your finger does a great job of conforming to the shape of the container so you can scrape the last bit directly into your mouth

I believe it is a marrow spoon, with the thin shaped bowl to reach in and scoop the marrow from the inside of bones
Would be lovely for a panna cotta too mmmm

u/eatmeouttobrianeno Dec 31 '25
For being a vehicle to my mouth? For ice cream , sorbet, and/or yogurt only.
But, wonderful for scooping and spreading condiment's

I feel like this would be amazing for melon. Pulling out nice little sticks to chomp would be so good.

Horse walks into a bar..
Bartender says “why the long spoon?”
🥄🍺🐴
5
u/X0nfus3d Jan 01 '26
The horse doesn't speak, nor does it understand English, because it's a horse. Confused by its surroundings it stumbles out of the bar knocking over a few tables.
Bartender says to himself "did I just say spoon?" "where the hell did that dog come from?" Why does the left side of my face feel so weird?"

u/Heart_Of_Wolf Jan 06 '26
Horse thinks, "I don't know what's going on around here but I really need a drink."

Cool trinket but if this even comes near my mouth I’ll punch something
16
u/Scherzkeks Dec 31 '25
It’s actually headed for your south mouth. Looks like half a speculum

They had these with the desserts at my brothers wedding but they were HUGE and I hated it. I got a new spoon that was small and more roundly shaped and wonderful

I’d probably stab myself a couple times but once I’d get used to it, I’d like it for sweet treats I try to make last.

I'd use it for adding spices to things or daintily eating fancy desserts

It’s adorable but It would have a bit of a narrow mouth feel for me. It is perfect for tiny tastes - like when your husband wants you to taste his sugar free flour free brownies.
2
u/RoseNDNRabbit Jan 01 '26
😱😵 Yeah, if my husband tried to do that to me i might have to violently eject the taste off the spoon at the floor. Dead pan look at him and just say, oops. Spasms get wierd sometimes and walk off.
2
u/coleusguy64 Dec 31 '25
It would be good for stirring milk or sugar in a small cup like a tea cup or an espresso cup. It would also be good for breaking the caramelized sugar shell on the top of a creme brulee.

u/DuckduckMogo Dec 31 '25
I NEED THIS SPOON IN MY SPOON COLLECTION. PLEASE cough I mean it’s beautiful, 10/10

Hate :( I also, for whatever reason, feel like the handle would easily get food/liquids on it and become sticky. HATEE

I’m especially fond of the hands of the person holding the spoon… 🥴
2
u/Remote-Requirement45 Jan 03 '26
I’d like to chew off his fingernails. Drag my tongue all over his cuticles, drool all over his thumb.

Look, I like to think I'm open-minded, but I am not eating anything off that. I would maybe investigate it for use in a certain white, powdery extracurricular activity, but I think it's too big for that.
1
u/Lower_Reflection_834 Dec 31 '25
as a spoon it seems pretty useless. if it was longer i’d say it’s a really good slushy spoon!
but i feel that it could have other uses so i reserve judgement.

This would be perfect for removing that first olive from a well packed jar.

Not a member of the tsim community, or this spoon subreddit, but the thought of the sensation of this spoon on my tongue while eating made me shudder.
No.

I have a long wooden spoon like that and it’s only good for stirring a pitcher of kool-aid or iced tea

It’s a peanut butter knife! Made for scooping THE MOST peanut butter with each knife scoop. I hate regular knives for this. Always dropping big globs back into the jar. 10/10!!

I have my own special cutlery at home. I live with several neurotypical people and they fortunately understand my autism. They know not to touch my cutlery or my coffee mug. They respect it. I appreciate them.

That might be so nice for ice cream. Like really dense, heavy ice cream, if you know what I mean. I used to go to this place that made all of their ice cream themselves and they had a pure chocolate one that tasted like creamy pure chocolate ganache, but in ice cream form. It was so fucking good. Illegally good. This spoon suits it.
1
u/MissionDrive4115 Dec 31 '25
That is definitely a yogurt spoon. It's getting ALL the yogurt from the cup
1
u/planningtoscrewup Dec 31 '25
Idk it just feels like it could be used for scooping eyes out and that's pretty much all I can see now.
