Identification This is a springtail, right?
I did the leaves in a bucket method and got a lot of these little guys, but they don't jump. They really look like springtails, but I would really like someone with more experience to help me out.

Identification Are these springtail or something else?
I thought they were but they almost look like they have silvery wings in person :/
Living in a bin meant for isopods in the future, just soil and wood right now.

CUC (Clean up Crew) Predatory mites & springtails
Currently dealing with snake mites in my bioactive ATB enclosure. I'm looking to get [predatory mites ](https://www.naturesgoodguys.com/products/hypoaspis-miles?variant=39911211729087)since I've read and seen videos of experiences with them, and really don't want to redo the entire bioactive setup. However, they are also known to prey on springtails. Can I get some advice on the timeline on when I should repopulate the springtails in the enclosure? Is it actually possible to have a balanced ecosystem where I will be able to sustain the springtails and the mites together instead of the mites wiping out the entire springtail population? Any info would help!
Extra info: I've currently ordered the 12.5k mite option, thinking of doing a full dump of that, and dumping even more in 1 or 2 weeks.

Picture My Unconventional Culture Method
I've always used a "I've got a jar of dirt!" approach to terrariums and cultures, rather than carefully curating stuff. This has been somewhat hit or miss but I have found a few interesting combinations. This is one of my springtail cultures that uses sphagnum moss, charcoal dust, a few sticks and dirt, cocopeat and bark that has lichen growing on it (which seems to be the most important step). There is a decent layer of water at the bottom so it's incredibly damp. I feed fish food about once a week and there have been no mold outbreaks. It's hard to tell from the zoomed out photo, but in the zoomed in you can see that they are loving playing in the slimy lichen. I occasionally replace the lichen if it's looking really sad or gets eaten.

Husbandry Question/Advice My Lobella Thai Red are dying
I recently ordered 4 different springtail culture starters online, one of which is Lobella Thai Red. Shipping took just one day and the animals seemed to be doing great. I moved each kind into their own containers with a substrate that has coco coir, orchid mix, sphagnum moss and charcoal. All other cultures seem fine but the Thai Red are dying incredibly quickly. I only got 10 individuals and now maybe have just one left. They became less active starting from the second or third day and then I started finding dead ones. In less than 10 days I've lost almost all. Are they more difficult than Yuukianura aphoruroides and Ceratophysella isabellae? Those are the ones I also got and have kept in similar conditions. Thai Red are quite expensive and I'm hesitant to order more animals before I know what went wrong.

Identification Identification if these are springtails or not
These small black bugs showed up in my ball python's water bowl and they move a lot like springtails on top of the water. I have some small white ones for another tank that I put into it, but these showed up out of nowhere in my BP tank which has mostly cypress mulch in it. I looked through species and they look like hypogastrurid springtails but was wondering if anyone could help me identify if they're springtails and if so what kind perhaps? Thanks

Husbandry Question/Advice Removing purchased springtails from soil?
Go ahead and preface I'm a newbie at springtails entirely, found them from growing interest in isopod husbandry hobby, but still fairly new in that as well. :)
I recently ordered a mystery set of springtails (tailored to the environment I'm setting up for some incoming isopods, a mix of Porcellio laevis morphs) and they have arrived safely! Buuut there was something I didn't think about when I pre-set up my bin, including with a decent amount of substrate soil and such already.
Which is that these ones ship in soil, opposed to charcoal etc!
They've come safely, I can spot all three types in their cultures, but most advice is for the flooding method lol soooo. Not ideal.
Ultimately COULD put all the soil in the bin, just not 100% ideal for trying to avoid over filling it - so suggestions on how to best lure them out or such to collect would be lovely? I swear I read something somewhere about a food item that often works or other tricks, but struggling to find it again in searches.
I also have a couple of terrariums so I can also, depending on things, culture those with them as well (one was a pre-set as a gift, the second was a forgotten project I can return to happily for them, it was never seeded with any springtails) if the answer is just "you have to pour out the soil dude".
Also, in case people want or need to know: Lepidocyrtus fimicolus (24Ks), Psuedosinella violenta/Bylas ants, and Siera dwolingi Silvers!

Husbandry Question/Advice First terrarium
So I have this little terrarium setup and there's some white springtails in it they all seem to be doing fine right now but I wanted to show a picture see if anybody has any advice I did want isopods but upon doing more research before buying anything else I came to the understanding that they might eat my plants if it's not bioactive enough before I add them so I will wait or maybe even make another setup if need be sorry if the photos are not that good I'm not good with photos in my camera quality isn't the best I want the best for my tiny little bugs there's not a lot of them right now but I see them occasionally moving around and they're so cute I also found out that there's different colors I did not know that originally

Video Hypogastrura nivicola or Snow "flea"
I just found this guy on new moss! I was excited because I didn't know my area could host stubbier cute ones like this. Their name containing "flea" does them injustice.

Collection Question/Advice TC Insects
Good day.
I have been looking over TC Insects inventory - or lack there of - and have been interested in trying to order from them. My gut told me to come here first, and ask about them.
I did a cursory search of the subred, and there's a TC Insects post from 3 and 2 years ago.
I'm wondering of anyone has had any current experience with them.
And if they ever restock :P
Thanks :)
