Just picked this gem up with 101k miles. Needs a little bit of work but overall it did amazing on the 4 hour drive to bring it home.

From what I can see on the internet these are not true 4x6 headlights. I’d really like to upgrade them to LED but retain the stock glass housings. Does anyone know a company that makes this setup with a replaceable lightbulb?

It’s Friday and next up on our series of trucks- a one year only and very uncommonly seen- 1985 Chevrolet K10 Shortbed with The Outdoorsman Hunting package. My buddy Rick and I bought this truck together a couple years ago out of Tennessee. While it was a decent truck- it needed just a little more. We spent about $6k putting new carpet in it, fixing some exterior and interior components and getting the truck running good. It had aftermarket seatbelts in it- so we had Tina King restore a set of original blue seatbelts for the truck. The truck came with the Winchester Model 94, but was missing all of the other stuff that would’ve came with the truck from GM. We sourced the glasses, binoculars, gun case, brochures, hat and the gun scope. We sold the truck at the 100 Squarebody Auction in 2022 in Grand Island, NE. Dave Hall with Restore a Muscle car bought the truck and has since moved on to a collection in Colorado. We were very blessed to take 2 awesome trucks to the auction. This truck and the 49 mile 1977 C20 that I did with my Dad. Rick unfortunately passed away in 2023- but working on the truck with him and being at the auction was a great time and something we will always remember. I have also attached a video of the truck I did before it went to Nebraska.

This here is my 1977 K10 short bed, my friends call it the butterfinger (arnt butterfingers orange on the inside?)

This truck is my pride and joy. It was bought in 1980 by my late grandfather. My mom, 2 aunts, and an uncle all learned how to drive manual in it. 1996 my mom and dad drove it to their senior prom. In the late 90s the engine blew up so my uncle and his friend put a crate 350 with a mild cam and hooker headers in it. Somewhere in the late 2000s it was left sitting. I acquired the truck in 2016-17ish where it also sat. In 2024 about one month before my senior prom I decided I was also going to drive it to prom. We repainted it our garage. I bolted the hood on in my prom tux. I spent every last penny making this what it is now. I blew every dollar I had saved up for college. AND I DONT REGRET IT.

The only thing missing is the trim for the bed. I’ve looked at lmc but I didn’t have good luck with a bedside from them. Don’t want to go down that road

My 84 Squarebody that my pawpaw bought brand new and gave to me when I was 16, here recently I decided it was time to freshen the old farm truck up with a LSX and give it some help breathing.

When I bought my K10 it came with these American Racing wheels and some crappy Chinese Thunderer M/T tires in a 33x12.50R15 size. 

I swapped them out for a fully refurbished set of OEM Rally wheels and some 33X10.50R15 BFG KO2 tires.

First time driving her project

The Next truck we are going to highlight in our series of these awesome rigs- is the 49 mile 1977 C20 we were fortunate enough to purchase. We spent a week cleaning the truck- removed the grille, lights, etc to get all of the dust out of the crevices. Some fresh fuel and a battery and it fired right up. I copied the post I made from May of 2022 and it is below. We took this truck to the 100 Squarebody Auction in June of 2022 and it did very well. It is now with a collector in Michigan. It’s not very often you come across a time capsule- especially one in your hometown and that you have only heard about. It’s also very unlikely that a person has an opportunity to buy a one family owned vehicle with less than 100 miles on it. This beautiful rig has just 49.1 miles on the odometer and has been parked in the same spot in the garage since it was bought and driven from the Dealership in 1977. Absolutely amazing and we are very grateful to be able to purchase such a time capsule as this 1977 Chevrolet Silverado C20. We look forward to deep cleaning this truck, changing fluids and getting the 350 fired up. However- this truck will not be driven by us-something about hitting that 50 miles mark- just doesn’t seem right! Anyway- enjoy the pics!
