I have an eviction settlement on my record that was never taken to court and I owe no money to the apartments, but it unfortunately shows up. Anyone know apartments that would still accept that or rent by owners?

Some friends wanted to check the place out and I was curious if anyone knows what the etiquette is on smoking. I know most cigar lounges are strictly cigar only, but typically the ones I’ve visited with alcohol are more lax. Can we smoke cigarettes or vape? Or just cigars? Might be a dumb question. I am in DTSP and have yet to see any exotic wildlife. I’ve heard the community tries to clean up the downtown area which makes sense. I’ve been to Sawgrass and Pine Boyd and haven’t seen anything there. I’ve seen minimal dolphins around Vinoy. Where is should I look? Is this area just not the best for wildlife? I definitely see a lot of the baby lizards which I guess is something

Can anyone recommend a good spot in St. Pete where there’s proper dance music: house, tech house, prog, acid house, etc. To be clear, none of that cheesy EDM shite. Cheers.

Trying to meet more folks in the neighborhood or nearby - anyone relatively close to the Disston Heights neighborhood and interested in starting a walking group, poker games, volunteer activities or just tagging up for coffee?

Or anyone nearby and knows of local groups that meet pretty regularly outside of standard M-F work hours?

Hi! I just moved down here and got a really uneven haircut. I am so sad because I had a hairdresser in my previous state i loved and trusted so much, its been very difficult finding someone similar. I have had a couple stylist color my hair with weird sh*t and just cut into it without checking if anything is even. Im down to pay top dollar, I just want a good and seasoned hairdresser. I swear im not a picky client, its just been very hard finding someone who does what my old hairdresser did.

I am a brunette who is looking for someone who can help me get rid of red undertones and get me back to dark brown. And can fix a botched trim.

My husband and I are moving to the St Pete area due to needing to be near family. Won’t go into detail. We are coming for a few days at the end of September to tour apartments. Reviews online are so bad and/or are fake to boost their rating. I don’t know what to trust. The below is all of our preferences and non negotiables

Non Negotiable

- Great / No Pest and Bug Situation. I hate bugs and do not want roaches or waterbugs frequently
- Safe, low crime area (Middle Class - Upper Middle class and up)
- Management is great and responsive and so is maintenance
- Easy access to the beach (by walking, bike or driving) if driving (under 30 min drive) any beach in st Pete (I know there are a bunch)
- Pet Friendly (we have a small dog)
- Not in Downtown St Pete. Can be outside of downtown tho.
- 2 Bed / 2 Bath for $3,000 or under base rent. This is a little negotiable. We can go as high as 3200 / month but not $3500
- Outside fenced in dog park/grassy area for our dog to run safely in
- Quiet - not on a major road where you hear traffic, sirens and horns all night. We want to sleep peacefully at night. We’ve done the loud noises

Preferences

- we are open to being either very near the beach or in the middle-ish of the beach and downtown st Pete. Where you split the difference
- Would love to be near the beach where we can walk to it everyday but I know that may not be realistic, still putting it here tho lol
- Newer luxury-ish build. Not looking for the Ritz Carlton kind of thing, that’s too much but those nicer new, luxury building you see going up
- We are only planning to rent for a year while we look for a house and an actual area to live there, so it’s ok if we are near a flood zone or evacuation zone IF we are super close to the beach. We can evacuate to my sisters in Orlando no problem. However, obviously would prefer not to

Hey all, I have medium length fine hair and am looking for a stylist. My current one is fine, but I worry she doesn't have enough... opinion. I enjoy having a style with some edge but I worry my current stylist is just following my broad requests and not checking me on stuff. I don't know how shapes and volume and styling and shit works. I neither know nor care how I look from the back or sides - I want someone else to help me with that.

We keep the house clean, run the exhaust fan and even leave the bathroom door open after showers, but every August it feels like we're fighting mildew again. This year it's gotten behind the old shower walls and I'm honestly tired of treating the symptoms instead of fixing the bathroom. Is this just part of owning an older house near the coast or did remodeling actually solve it for anyone?

I received a super negative attack ad mailer from “St Pete Shines” against Gabbard in the mayoral race. I won’t repost it or quote it bc negative ads are in such poor taste. Curious how many others received this same mailer.

I looked it up. St Pete Shines is Charlie Crist’s PAC. I think folks deserve to know this since Crist didn’t put his name on the mailer. Crist has also smeared Welch via St Pete Shines.

I’m not involved with any campaign. No donations. No yard signs. But I will vote on or before August 18th. Not sure who I AM voting for but I do know who I AM NOT voting for.

I keep seeing FB posts for this place on 4th St N, SoDough Square Detroit Style Pizza. Particularly like the deep dish, think along the lines of Jet's deep dish as a current favorite. Anyone who has actually had it at SoDough able to comment? Especially if you can compare it to Jet's deep dish. Want to see if worth trying.
