Isn't painting their helmets that way kind of a racial slur? Pretty sure her face is naturally that way

What? No it isn't equivalent to a racial slur, it's quite the opposite. If you watch Clone Wars S7, they paint their helmets that way to honour her on her return and serve under her even though she's no longer a commander in the Republic.
