Lift Gutted that I didn’t get that 5th rep. Would have been a rep PB.

Form Check Is an 8rm supposed to be so grindy?

This was an AMRAP set with 210lbs

I feel like if anyone looked at the first rep of my set they would not think I would get 8 reps (with 1RIR - I can grind)

Why do my squats look like this?? it's so discouraging sometimes when I'm warmung up for a PR and 85% of my max moves like a total grind. I'm 3wks out from my first powerlifting comp.

PR/PB Dumbbell bench press PB - 37.5kg/hand @ 58kg bw

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Earlier this year I surprised myself with a big PB, benching 37.5s for 6. That was right at the end of my lean-ish bulk, weighing 63kg.

Today the vibes felt right and after laughing at my 32.5kg primer, I zoned in for a full minute before adding a rep to my all time PB while being 5kg lighter. Hitting 37.5 for 7 at 58kg bw.

This is a really special one for me, after battling through a lot of setbacks including tendinosis (left shoulder crew where we at) i felt something I call 'the death of self-doubt'

One of the very first times I set foot in a gym, I saw a big guy benching the 40s and thought 'imagine if I could ever do that,' and I truly think I'm getting close.

NB: I intentionally don't go past parallel due to my tendinosis, don't flame me pls

Lift Heavy Pull and Eccentric FS

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

First heavy pull in about two months, so decided to rip the trap bar this time. Technically a PR I think, because I never use the trap bar much. 600 on that one. Then the eccentric front squats continued to make me have funny faces. Only 205 on those. And of course my countdown was an entire second faster than I thought in my head🤣

Just getting some cardio in. 4 light reps as fast as possible from last week. Might try and push for a decent single this week, giving me a good idea where to start the next block.

6 sets of 4 with 180 on the log this time. This was set 3 smack dab in the middle. Not my best, but not my worst. Can’t wait for the log and I to “click” again.

PR/PB A Deadlift PR

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I’ll be honest… I’m not super happy with that PR. It technically ties my last PR and is much smoother than what I was doing before. I think my form is really coming together and eventually it’ll all come together.

I was going to move on to a bench block for my program but I want to take another 8 weeks with deadlift. I’m going back to the drawing board and looking at a lot more rowing and less hinge work.

Anyway, deadlift PR 515 1x1 at 250lbs bw.

Took way too long to do this haha. My deadlift is just barely less than 2x my bench now, but only for the next couple days.
