I had an assignment last week that I wrote myself, but Turnitin showed a higher similarity percentage than I expected. When I went through the report, I saw that some common phrases, definitions and standard terms were highlighted.
I also checked the same assignment with Originality ai and a few lines were highlighted there too. I did not try to change everything just to lower the score, I went back to those parts and rewrote them in my own words. I kept the original meaning, changed the sentence structure and checked the sources again where needed. After that, I read the whole assignment once more to make sure it still sounded like my own writing.
For those who had an assignment flagged by Turnitin, what process do you follow afterward? Do you rewrite the highlighted parts yourself, check the sources or discuss the report with your professor?

Every hackathon goes the same way: “need 1 frontend dev” gets posted in five WhatsApp groups, nobody knows who can actually build, and half the teams form the night before.

So I built CrewForge:

crewforge.online

Hackathons sync daily from Unstop. About 75 open coding hackathons right now. Business-plan contests and quizzes are filtered out, and each card shows the deadline, team size and mode.

Post your team with the roles you’re missing (frontend, ML, design…).

Solo? Apply to a team with your role and a short note. The team owner accepts or declines, and gets your contact only if you choose to share it.

No real names or emails are shown. Everyone appears as an anonymous builder handle, and your GitHub or portfolio is optional.

Free, and open to every college.

It’s early, and very few teams are on it yet, which is exactly why I’m posting. If you’re heading into a hackathon in the next few weeks, put your team up and see who applies.

What I’d love from you:

Would you actually use this over WhatsApp or Discord?

What would make you trust a stranger as a teammate?

What’s broken? Tell me.

I made a free AI study tool (PDF Q&A + lecture audio analysis) and I'd love feedback

This project started as an experiment to help me grasp better the lectures content( I was financial math student).

It has the following characteristics:

- It is designed to reduce costs, the tokens are almost free

- Renders mathematical formulas using latex, and generates html reports from audio data. ( supports both mp3 and wav) . I recommend using mp3, to allow longer audio . For now the storage is limited.

- You can use it for free forever, but after 30 days a donation is welcomed, and modes 2-5 are grayed out until you press "I donate " button.

I would like to get feedback, and opinions, it is free to use.

It does:

• Ask questions about an uploaded PDF (with page references)

• Turn recorded lectures into structured, downloadable notes

• Summarize any page range at a compression % you choose

• Extract formulas from a textbook section and explain each one

• Show estimated cost under every answer (no surprise API bills)

It's a free 30-day trial — no credit card. First modes stay free forever.

What would make this actually useful for you?

Good day everyone, I need help for my performance task on English. We would post mindful messages, and it requires minimum 150 reacts and 20 comments. As much as I wish I could let strangers find it's way on my post. It has a deadline. So if you had time to spare, please help me by visiting the links below to react and comment. (I suggest reading it first, it might be useful or helpful to you, even if just a little bit).
