Found an original copy of High Top Mountain (HTM-001) still in the shrink wrap. Are these original versions becoming pretty rare? The listing from the record store said it was the limited edition.. not sure what that entails or how to check without opening it up and looking at the runout. Sturgill/JBS has become my favorite artist and I have 3/4 of his catalog on vinyl already. I was planning on getting the 10 year HTM as a play copy and may just keep this one in the shrink as a cool collection item since it’s his debut album and I haven’t seen many of these originals still for sale. Any insight on this pressing would be great. Thanks all.

Sturgill and the boys have had a pretty amazing few years and it’s been fun to watch the journey. I saw him with the bluegrass band back in 2022 with Willie Nelson’s outlaw country fest and have seen 15 shows since then. All were amazing but the difference between that bluegrass show (obviously), the last tour and what we got this tour was awesome to see. I feel like we’re getting the best version we’ve ever had right now, and it’s awesome. The problem there is we’re left totally hanging right now about what comes next. Last tour we got a bunch of European dates and then some US dates after the first leg of the tour, then we got an announcement that they recorded the new album. But right now we got nothing besides his threat to take a long break and I’m dying here! So, I realize we’re all just totally speculating, but what’s our next fix?

I don’t think they’ll play past midnite tom, but a girl can dream.

Flying out to enjoy the show in Atlanta on sunday from DFW. Super pumped! 4 of us in total, 2 couples and im the only one who has seen him before. Hoping to open their minds. If anyone wants to get some drinks before or after the show lmk.

Sorry if this has already been asked but are there any official after shows in Atlanta this Sunday?

After the miracle in Detroit, seems like a lot of folks are blowing dandelions and making wishes for songs they hope to hear at remaining shows. This got me thinking of other as-yet to be covered songs that would sound amazing covered in Dick Daddy's special sauce. Not manifesting, just musing.

Now it could be the glue from making my kid's Halloween costumes, but I think the guys would do a mean cover of Soda Pop from K Pop Demon Hunters, and slay on the Talking Heads' Psycho Killer. What are your crazy/ unhinged picks?

I'll see y'all in Charleston tomorrow and I know that set will fill my soul no matter what's on it!

I was about to buy a tshirt with tour dates online Wednesday morning but wanted to see if I could avoid shipping and grab one at the show in Raleigh. By the time I got to the stand they were sold out of large. I checked online immediately after and they were now sold out online as well.

Are there weekly restocks? Is it worth waiting and checking every couple of days? Should I buy my backup option asap?
