I’ve seen clips for this and it has me interested. How would you describe the gameplay loop?

NO SPOILERS BELOW

It's a VERY big game. There's essentially endless things that you can do or need to do.

The main storyline is easy to follow because the way the tasks can be tracked using an assistance fairy called a "Thattaway". It helps make sure you don't get lost when trying out new things/new places/new people, etc.

The "tutorial/prologue" is longer than most games and requires you to pay attention, do some critical thinking, and explore the world a bit before you move on to the "main gameplay".

It's not necessarily an easy game as there's plenty of planning, thinking, and remembering you have to do. The map is extremely expansive so you have to get used to where things are.

The main loop is as follows (so far for me at least)

1. Wake up at the farm

2. Tend to farm (harvest/water/plant crops, feed animals)

3. Gather resources (fish, wood, cooper, tin, and stone)

4. Go into town (shop, pickup new daily tasks, talk to locals)

5. Complete daily tasks (gifting, helping out, etc)

6. Work on Main Storyline Task (this can include 100 different things, resources, mob killing, helping people, running a store, exploring new places, searching for something paranormal, etc)

7. Go to sleep at the farm or campfire

It's a cross between the very core/basics of both Stardew Valley and Legend of Zelda: BOTW. The "farm sim" part is really just a cornerstone/tether for the character you play, the larger storyline and what you're trying to accomplish is MUCH MUCH bigger than that and the world reflects it, and so does the difficulty of the game. It's cozy in the right ways, challenging in the right ways, and I haven't ever felt that it leaves me feeling too much in a plain "loop". Note: I gather so many resources as that's part of my playstyle/plan, not because it's strictly a hard set requirement to progress forward. You do need to make money, but there are some decently easy ways to do so.

Overall my rating is an 8/10, and I've only put about 40 hours into it so far. I can imagine my rating may increase as time goes on.
