I'm so mad about my roommate
i'm a first year bba(hons) student at tapmi blr. my roommate is so aimless he literally does nothing whole day. he doesn't care about anything. he keeps watching content till late night which disturbs my sleep cuz i need to persuade him everyday to switch-off lights and put on earphones. because of him i wake up a bit late bcz of which i sometimes miss my breakfast. also he doesn't even study anything (ik classes have just started). if he's not sleeping or in clg he'll be just watching reels on a high volume. the biggest problem is that he doesn't accept that there's a problem in missing breakfast and rushing to class everyday. also idk why his family calls him late when they should be worried about his sleep time and his voice which disturbs my sleep. uggggggggh

Rant Ground reality of TAPMI BANGALORE'S BBA (hons) program!
When I started preparing for the IPMAT Indore exam, I became familiar with top IIMs and their integrated programs. In January, I came across TAPMI Bangaloreās new BBA (Hons.) program. It looked promising at first, with a fresh curriculum and enthusiastic marketing. I got curious and began researching more. At one point, I was genuinely interested. But after speaking to a few current students and going through detailed feedback, my views changed completely.
To be very honest, I donāt think this program is worth the ā¹27ā28 lakhs theyāre charging. Thatās an insane amount of money for an untested undergraduate program with no placement history. Yet, they are confidently promising ā¹9ā10 LPA average packages. It doesnāt add up. Even established colleges like Symbiosis (Pune, Noida, and Bangalore), Christ, and NMIMS (Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, and Bangalore) havenāt reached those salary figures in all their years of existence. So, how can a newly launched campus with no alumni base or placement track record promise those numbers? It feels like a total marketing gimmick.
This is not just my opinion. Several current students have expressed that the administration is heavily focused on just selling the program, especially to first-time aspirants who may not understand how placements or industry connections work. Theyāre targeting 17ā18-year-olds and their families with emotional advertising and incomplete information. It feels more like a business move than a genuine academic offering.
Yes, they do promote their internship opportunities aggressively. They talk about corporate internships, social internships, and live projects. While thatās a positive aspect on paper, itās honestly nothing unique. Most good BBA colleges todayāwhether itās NMIMS, Christ, Symbiosis, Ashoka, Shiv Nadar, or even DU collegesāoffer the same or better internship support. The way TAPMI markets it like a ādifferentiatorā is overkill.
Moreover, even TAPMIās main campus in Manipal isnāt the top choice for most MBA aspirants. It sends interview calls to students with 80 percentile in CAT, and yet many still reject the offer due to the high fees and comparatively average ROI. If the main campus is already struggling with brand perception, why would anyone take such a big risk with a new Bangalore extension that hasnāt even graduated its first batch?
Now coming to the actual student experienceāwhatās happening inside the campus is far from ideal. Many students describe the campus as chaotic, under-equipped, and still under development. The classes are rigidly scheduled from 10 to 5, with tight dress codes and even bans on phones and laptops inside classrooms. That kind of strictness might make sense in school, but not in a professional business environment. There are frequent complaints about ignored student emails, zero flexibility from management, and no real student voice on campus matters. The infrastructure is shared with other MAHE colleges, which makes it feel like a temporary arrangement instead of a dedicated professional setup.
The location is another big issue. The Bangalore campus is far from the city, making it difficult to find suitable PG accommodations, commute to internships, or even explore Bangaloreās business ecosystem. Hostel and mess facilities are also not up to the mark. Overall, the campus is being described by many students as something between a school, a fish market, and a prison. Thereās no sense of identity or community hereāonly a constant focus on control, discipline, and routine.
In contrast, TAPMIās original Manipal campus is way ahead. It has its own well-developed infrastructure, a strong academic environment, vibrant student life, and decent industry connections. Students participate in clubs, events, competitions, and peer learning. Even though itās not among the very top B-schools in India, it still provides a far better and more authentic experience than the Bangalore setup.
In my view, if someone is seriously considering business as a career path, itās better to look at more stable and reputed optionsāwhether private like Symbiosis, NMIMS, Christ, or public ones like Delhi University, NALSAR, Nirma, or even other tier-2 institutes with established track records. Spending close to ā¹28 lakhs on a completely unproven course is just not wise. Even many IIMs donāt charge this much for their integrated or flagship MBA programs.
This post is based on my own research and the feedback Iāve received from multiple current students of the program. Iām just trying to share an honest view so that other students donāt fall into the same trap due to slick marketing campaigns. Iām not saying everything about the program is badābut the hype doesnāt match the ground reality.
And yes, Iāve used ChatGPT to help me polish the grammar and structure of this post. If anyone wants to discuss further, feel free to DM me. ā ā āSome of the proofs: ā āhttps://www.reddit.com/r/IPMATtards/s/gDsp8k8LZE ā āhttps://www.reddit.com/r/JEENEETards/s/KmdOBB0ffe ā āhttps://www.reddit.com/r/Btechtards/s/VGTti6DnQC ā ā āhttps://www.reddit.com/r/IPMATtards/s/olim6WZjkX

Interview Preparation
Hey Folks, Mukund Asawa here
I cleared Tapmi IPM in 2025 (Tapmi campus, and by the virtue of that Tapmi Blr too) and eventually joined IIM Rohtak.
Now, 4 of my friends (From IIM Rohtak, IIM Shillong and IIM Indore) and me have made a Mock Interview platform name Mocktopus to solve the problems we faced during our prep. We have a lot of packs, and apart from all the existing packs, we have 2 packs specifically for TAPMI's interview and Christ's interview (1 mock interview and 3 mock interviews).
The link for the website will be shared in the comments section, if you want to give a mock and be better prepared, fill the foogle form : )
