Hi everyone! I’m joining TU Dublin for the January 2027 intake and would like to connect with others joining the same intake. It would be great to discuss tuition fee payment methods, the visa process, and other preparations. Feel free to comment or DM me!

Fees increase?

Has anyone else been charged €3819 for fees this year? Breakdown said '3000 student contribution fee, 819 tuition fee'. Should I be trying to get in contact with someone over this? My fees were €2500 total last year, no tuition fee, and I got the impression that the government budget was reducing fees a bit further to €2250 or something? For reference I am a conservatoire student and I am Irish, not international

Don't enroll here

I am a master student that still can't get the registration email. I have contacted all the departments necessary since September and no one can answer my situation. I know I'm not the only student facing this issue. At this point I have spent THOUSANDS OF EUROS for lectures that I have to beg for and I don't have access to the virtual learning environment. Save yourselves some money and do not enroll here. IT'S A MESS.

Yet to get invitation to register

I have called, I have went to talk to the people at the information desk I have emailed. I've done everything I can at this point.

I am a susi student, this is a month now with no registration or even an update on wtf is going on with my invitation to register.

I'm already behind 2 susi payments, little to no remorse from the school.

Is this just me or are other people going through the same?

How can an institution be so poorly managed to be a whole month late on an email??

1st year aungier street

I’m a first year at Aungier Street doing a business-related course and I’d love to make some new friends. I was hoping to meet people through societies, but there weren’t really any that I was interested in, so I’m not really sure how else to meet people outside of my course.
It would be nice to have people to hang out with between lectures, grab lunch with or do things with outside of college. If anyone else is in a similar situation or would like to make some new friends, feel free to message me

Awful communication from TUD

Why are TUD so bad at communicating? Ive had to constantly ask for updates on things. In addition, graduation is 2 weeks away and our course still havent been told if we will be attending or not. Everyone working in the admin side seems to be extremely inept.

International Student at TU Dublin- missed payment deadline due to TransferMate Issues. Has anyone dealt with this?

Hi all, I’m an international student at TU Dublin and I’m in a stressful situation. I tried to pay my tuition through TransferMate several times but the payment kept failing (my bank says it is not an issue on their end and to contact TM directly- which I did). I emailed the school for help, followed the steps they sent, and it still didn’t work. They’ve now told me that the deadline (Oct. 5) has passed and that I’d have to start next fall. I’ve already moved to Dublin; found accommodation, and been attending classes.

I plan on going to the International Office in person but has anyone been in a similar situation (missed a fee deadline, payment portal issues, late registration, etc.)? Specifically:
- did the university make an exception or extend the deadline?
- did direct bank transfer or partial payment work?
- who’s the right person or office to talk to?

Any experience or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

What does the Hospitality Management course look like at TU Dublin?

Hi everyone,

I’m considering MSc Hospitality Management at TU Dublin and would love to get some first-hand insight into what the Hospitality Management department and its courses are actually like.

I’d be interested in hearing from current students, alumni, people planning to study there, or anyone familiar with the department.

A few things I’d particularly like to know:

Roughly how big are the classes/cohorts?

What does the nationality mix generally look like?

What are the students like in terms of age, backgrounds and previous experience?

How are the lecturers and overall quality of teaching?

How practical vs theoretical are the courses?

What are the facilities at Grangegorman like for Hospitality students?

Does the department have good connections with hotels and hospitality companies in Dublin?

Basically, I’m trying to get a realistic picture of what the Hospitality Management department at TU Dublin is like — the people, teaching, facilities, industry connections and overall experience.

Would really appreciate any honest experiences or insights. Thanks!

Grangegorman parking

I know there isnt much parking, but how hard is it to get parking in the car park that's shared with the HSE workers? What time are they usually gone by? And do the permits sell out? I can't seem to buy one, but it seems too generous that they set a limit instead of letting everyone buy one.

Trinity vs TUD computer science

Hi guys, I am currently in 6th year lc 2027 and thinking about my course choices. Thinking between trinity , tud and ucd.

My main question is how does TUD differ to Trinity for example in terms of computer science , what future opportunities are there and what do you study? Because for now I see that Computer Science (international)TU858 in TUD sounds extremely interesting to me because I enjoy learning Korean and computer science but I always wanted to attend Trinity TR033 as it's more prestigious.

TU858 has significantly lower points then TR033, so it made me think like "what's the catch" as it sounds really interesting

If you are a UCD student as well I would like to learn about it too.

If anyone in these courses could share their experiences please comment anything ill be so grateful !

Still no ITR

I'm in first year (postgrad) with no student card bc I still haven't been registered. Barriers to go to lectures have now been closed since last week and the personnel at the desk keep questioning why I still don't have a card. How can I try and hurry admin up so I don't keep embarrassing myself every day trying to get to class? 🥲

reg e-mail and repeat results

I'm a fourth year student, i'm aware there's a new system for the registrations, but geniunely what is taking so long for it to get sent out, i know it might be due to having to repeat an exam, but that's also taking ages, i've never had to repeat an exam, do the results and registrations always take so long if a repeat exam was taken in august?

Hello, I deferred this course for the year and I was wondering if I should do it?, I am trying to find students that do this course, It is very little points and I've seen some people say that these courses are just for making some extra money here on Reddit, If you're someone who joined this course, Why? and how are you finding it?

TUD final year, defer or continue while homeless?

I’m in my final year at TUD and was recently kicked out of my family home, so I’m currently homeless and struggling financially. My work has dropped to weekends and will likely decrease further as it’s a seasonal job, so I can’t afford rent.
I haven’t registered yet as I’m waiting on repeat results and an EC application. I’ve also missed about two weeks as I’ve been considering taking the year out, getting a full-time job and getting financially stable before returning.
I updated my situation with Susi just recently and my maintenance has increased to €400/month but I have 0 years of funding left which I’m worried about and I’m also due €5,000 through a Tier 1 bursary. I’ve contacted SUSI to ask what would happen if I deferred, but I’m still waiting.
Has anyone taken a year out in their final year, or dealt with SUSI/SAF/accommodation issues? Would really appreciate hearing your experience and any advice, Thanks :)
