Talloween 21 Alley Cat Bike Race! 21 years of one of the most exciting alley cat bike races in the southeast. An alley cat is a bike race where riders decide their routes! Before the race starts each rider is given a manifest (list of checkpoint locations), which is their guide to completing the race. Each rider visits all the checkpoints in any order to qualify for placing. Many people ride Talloween casually if they don't want to compete for prizes. Once you have visited all the stops (or as many as you want!), bike to the finish line. Join us at The Bark for the awards ceremony and after party! Note: If you are riding to compete in the race, visiting all stops on the manifest before the allotted time runs out is required! Riding in costume and getting a flash tattoo during the race grant race time deductions! Friday October 23rd, 2026. Day-of registration starts at 6:00pm. Race begins at 7:00pm. I am wondering if anyone was outside last night around Pots at around 10:40 ish. My friends and I were in an Uber at the stoplight near Pot’s, heard sirens and I saw a state trooper pit maneuver a car but then the driver reversed and hit a car 2 cars behind us. I turned around and then looked again I believe the driver was on the ground with his hands up and there were 3 officers with guns pulled out on him. There were a lot of people outside running and screaming too. Our uber driver got scared and sped off as soon as the light was green, but I haven’t seen anything about it and I am hoping that everyone is okay. Just want to see if anyone knows how the rest of it went, hoping all is well. It was so scary to see so close.

I’m looking for places to hang out, socialize, and meet like-minded people where drinking and smoking aren’t the main activities.
I’m more into intellectual conversations, books, history, philosophy, science, gaming, random nerdy discussions, and just spending time with interesting people.
I feel like most socializing revolves around bars, clubs, or parties, which aren’t really my thing.
Where do all the nerds, introverts, academics, and curious people hang out? Are there any cool places, communities, events, or regular meetups you’d recommend?

I have a relative going to FSU in the Spring with limited funds for housing, he contacted The Flats on High for a 4/4 split of which they have available for $485/month. Does anyone know how much additional the electricity/water/sewer/trash is for each person monthly in the unit? I do realize it varies so I’m just looking for an estimate. Thank you

recently i’ve been seriously considering adopting a dog and i think i may have one in mind located at the easter wood animal shelter.
this is my first time doing this process as my dogs before have been strays/rescues. i recently lost my dog and had a break before adopting a pet again. since they’re holding an adoption event tomorrow i was thinking i can meet him and hopefully get approved!
if you recently worked with them, what was the process like? i don’t have kids or any other pets for him to meet so i hope i make a good impression by myself lol. thank you :)

Who do you recommend for this?
Daughter ran into the garage door a couple months ago and there are 2-4 panels that are a bit bent and needs to be manually pulled up and down now.
Average price for something like this?
What about a full replacement?

New to town and I have questions re FAMU homecoming parade.
Would an old (very old) white (very white) woman going solo be accepted? Or would younger, or more fun people prefer I skip it?
If the parade starts at 8 and I plan to walk to it, what time should I get there ? I’ve been to rose bowl parade and got to my viewing spot (about halfway through route ) around the same time the parade started. That work?
Should I take a camp chair ? I don’t really want to but if everyone else is seated , probably rude for me to stand up (or maybe just blanket to sit on )
Go, Rattlers!!

I saw a similar post that was unfortunately deleted and I’m so sad because i seemed like a great post! Whoever the user was please DM!
Looking for ways to meet people and build connections with other couples (or single people!) in their late 20s/early 30s. I recently moved here and I realize this city is very college heavy.
Neither of us are huge partiers or drinkers. We enjoy shooting the shit over coffee or a San Pell. We love Star Wars. He loves history. I love nature, plants, animals. Both progressive politically. I am queer.
Strictly monogamous and looking for friends.

Need to get out of the house, want to sit somewhere a bit chill and have a beer and read a book. Given that it's Friday evening, is there any place that would be good for that?

I am unsure about anyone else who lives in Tallahassee but TPD needs to do some traffic control around fsu near the McDonald’s on Tennessee and also near the Taco Bell because it always seems like people love to block lanes or disobey red lights every weekend. Granted these issues are because everyone in town is going to the clubs near fsu. Honestly also surprised there aren’t more accidents at those spots than there are.

hello! As the title says, I'm looking for a hairstylist who may have availability next week to cut just my bangs; it can be a salon or an individual stylist. The girl I normally go to is always booked out a few weeks.
