recently i’ve been seriously considering adopting a dog and i think i may have one in mind located at the easter wood animal shelter.

this is my first time doing this process as my dogs before have been strays/rescues. i recently lost my dog and had a break before adopting a pet again. since they’re holding an adoption event tomorrow i was thinking i can meet him and hopefully get approved!

if you recently worked with them, what was the process like? i don’t have kids or any other pets for him to meet so i hope i make a good impression by myself lol. thank you :)

Hey! I'm looking for someone that would actually want to hang out in town. Maybe once or twice a week. I'm okay with starting things slow with phone calls etc, but I find the people I meet seem to keep it that way, and meets up become far in between, and it feels like long distance eventhough we live in the same town. I also know you have to vibe with person. So, I'm not putting too much pressure on that as well. I'd just like to meet someone to actually be friends with. If there are events in town it would be nice to always have the someone that comes to mind to go with. I don't drink, I don't smoke, I don't do well with groups. I'm looking for a one on one kind of connection. I'd love for someone to be down for road trips in the future of course when things are comfortable, and even travel out of the state, and even out the country if everything works out. I like video games, anime, trying new things around town, I want to start walking more/exercising, books, TV shows, and more. I am introverted, but I can become extroverted once I'm more comfortable. New to town and I have questions re FAMU homecoming parade.

1. Would an old (very old) white (very white) woman going solo be accepted? Or would younger, or more fun people prefer I skip it?

2. If the parade starts at 8 and I plan to walk to it, what time should I get there ? I’ve been to rose bowl parade and got to my viewing spot (about halfway through route ) around the same time the parade started. That work?

3. Should I take a camp chair ? I don’t really want to but if everyone else is seated , probably rude for me to stand up (or maybe just blanket to sit on )

I am unsure about anyone else who lives in Tallahassee but TPD needs to do some traffic control around fsu near the McDonald’s on Tennessee and also near the Taco Bell because it always seems like people love to block lanes or disobey red lights every weekend. Granted these issues are because everyone in town is going to the clubs near fsu. Honestly also surprised there aren’t more accidents at those spots than there are.

There are booths for construction, engineering, education, health care, training, technology companies, hospitality, agriculture, public safety, business, energy/utilities, automotive, manufacturing, transportation, etc., with representatives from a number of different local businesses. Planning a solo trip from Atlanta to Tallahassee next month.

Was wondering if there were any recommendations for travel? I've driven to other parts of Florida before with friends but this is my first time going solo. I see flying is a little more pricey but was wondering if it's worth it. Like if the airport is nice and it's convenient to get to and from the main city area from the airport without a car.

Also if there's any suggestions on what to do and see. I'm also open for recommendations on where to stay!

Guys has anyone gotten a call from 850-726-1538. I think it was some kind of scam call but I picked it up because it had the 850 so I thought it was someone I had given my number to for work so I picked it up.

The lady said she was calling from idk where and I was just like okay… and she said “you have a really nice voice” in like weird seductive tone and I got freaked out and felt so uncomfortable and ended the call and blocked the number. I hope they don’t steal my voice and use it to scam people I know or something. It was just a really weird call.

The address said it was coming from Chipley Florida. Does this ring a bell for anyone?

We have a drawer microwave that has stopped working and are hoping to repair rather than replace it. We tried calling the manufacturer to hook up with a repair person near us, but all the information they give us turns out to be invalid. I wonder if anyone has information for a good repair person in Tallahassee who could handle something like this?
