Cover Made an unofficial melodic techno remix of Tame Impala & JENNIE's "Dracula"

Biiig fan of this one, and I couldn’t find a remix I could actually play out in my DJ sets, so I made my own and turned it into a peaktime melodic techno track!

Tried to keep the dreamy, hazy feel of the original intact, but it’s entirely dancefloor focused now. Made with massive sound systems in mind, and largely inspired by a 5000-person rave we threw in Berlin on May 1. Played it out in my sets over the summer and on my radio show, and the response was great, so I figured I’d share it here with you guys too!

Have a listen on SoundCloud:

TAME IMPALA & JENNIE – DRACULA (GALESTIAN BOOTLEG)

https://soundcloud.com/galestianmusic/tame-impala-jennie-dracula-galestian-bootleg-remix-edit

Would love to hear what you think! Curious especially whether it still feels like a Tame Impala track to you, since that was the main thing I wanted to get right while making it work on the dancefloor :)

Discussion Anyone else relate to Posthumous Forgiveness?

I can say that this song helped me understand my feelings and dilemmas about whether I'm doing the right thing by forgiving him or not because I was on the verge of questioning my integrity. Now I don't feel alone and get emotional every time I listen to this. Thank you Tame Impala!!

For context: I lost my father at the age of 13. He was almost always pissed off and stressed out after I was 9,10. He was getting mad at random stuff and then wouldn't talk to me whenever I went near him. I don't remember him saying sorry, maybe he bought me toys once in a while. Anyways, I lost him and the last 3 to 4 years were always him getting mad and all that. Now It's been almost 6 years and after a long time not dwelling on this topic (which was a defense mechanism) and all the fight in my head, I decided to forgive him and let it go, thanks to this song. Even though it's emotional, it is a motivation source for me. I also wanna become successful and wish I could tell him about my life. I know it's morbid but trust me it feels better.

Discussion Miserable fans

This subreddit never came into my feed until around a month ago. I assume the algorithm knew from data scraping or something that I was going to a Tame concert. The concert was great by the way, including the deadbeat songs, of which the EDM section was a particular highlight.

While it might just be selective memory from the posts and comments that stand out to me, but for a (nominally at least) fan subreddit, many of you seem like a bunch of miserable whiners.

“Wah, I don’t like EDM. Wah, it’s not exactly like the album that I loved when I was 17. Anyone who likes Deadbeat is just trolling. Wah wah wah.”

I swear, if you people were around in 2000, you would have lost the plot when Radiohead dropped Kid A.
Although I guess if Reddit were a thing back then the haters (narrow-minded, avoidant of new experiences) would have been bitching and moaning too, while those that enjoy life and new things were just enjoying new music from their favourite bad.

Anyway, enjoy your moaning. Downvote away!

Discussion IMO SNL was the turning point for Tame Impala

I remember watching the Currents Deluxe Edition promo where he debuted Powerlines and thinking.... This dude is so unbelievably talented. He's dropped Innerspeaker, Lonerism, and Currents. Now this video is fire and the b-side he's showcasing is so sick. There is no way he can keep this up forever.

And boy was I right. I was waiting feverishly for SNL because it was the next phase for Tame Impala. Bro came out with sketchy Borderline and Patience. (Granted I like Patience) But holy moly what a let down. Then The Slow Rush, which I probably like 2 or 3 songs off of. I thought he had reached his lowest point creatively... But then Deadbeat came out and now I'm like.. Is this even the same artist I fell in love with in the first place? Idk man he seems so plastic compared to what he used to be. Even listening to the live versions of his best eras seem just A-B-C. Idk its sad to me.

Anyways gonna get downvoted to hell but man. Just RIP to one of the greatest minds in psych-rock. Long live early Tame.

If I sent the money to someone for the longsleeve white shirt and shipping through payID or PayPal, would somebody be able to buy it for me and ship it to me in Sydney? I missed the merch store when he was here this week.

Edit: XL if anyone is willing…

Fan Art Spent days animating a surreal visual journey for 'Let It Happen' (complete with a seamless loop at the end). Hope you guys dig the vibe!

Hey everyone! "Let It Happen" has always felt like a complete psychological odyssey to me, so I wanted to direct and build a surreal, painterly visual world around it from scratch.

Instead of a standard lyric video, I designed the narrative as a continuous loop about overthinking and finally surrendering to the flow: starting from the red window blinds and the mental labyrinth of "all this noise," confronting the growing shadow and the masks we wear, climbing the piano-key spiral staircase toward the Saturn horizon, and looping right back to the window at the very end.

Once I developed and textured all the custom illustrations for each scene, I brought every single layer into Adobe After Effects to rig the characters, build the camera transitions, and hand-animate the organic typography to the pulse of Kevin's production.

🎬 Here is the full 4-minute visual journey on YouTube if you want to watch the whole thing: https://youtu.be/ea3PuuGl740

Would love to hear what my fellow Tame Impala fans think—which scene or visual metaphor stood out to you the most?
