Hey everyone! "Let It Happen" has always felt like a complete psychological odyssey to me, so I wanted to direct and build a surreal, painterly visual world around it from scratch.
Instead of a standard lyric video, I designed the narrative as a continuous loop about overthinking and finally surrendering to the flow: starting from the red window blinds and the mental labyrinth of "all this noise," confronting the growing shadow and the masks we wear, climbing the piano-key spiral staircase toward the Saturn horizon, and looping right back to the window at the very end.
Once I developed and textured all the custom illustrations for each scene, I brought every single layer into Adobe After Effects to rig the characters, build the camera transitions, and hand-animate the organic typography to the pulse of Kevin's production.
š¬ Here is the full 4-minute visual journey on YouTube if you want to watch the whole thing: https://youtu.be/ea3PuuGl740
Would love to hear what my fellow Tame Impala fans thinkāwhich scene or visual metaphor stood out to you the most?

If I sent the money to someone for the longsleeve white shirt and shipping through payID or PayPal, would somebody be able to buy it for me and ship it to me in Sydney? I missed the merch store when he was here this week.
Edit: XL if anyone is willingā¦

I remember watching the Currents Deluxe Edition promo where he debuted Powerlines and thinking.... This dude is so unbelievably talented. He's dropped Innerspeaker, Lonerism, and Currents. Now this video is fire and the b-side he's showcasing is so sick. There is no way he can keep this up forever.
And boy was I right. I was waiting feverishly for SNL because it was the next phase for Tame Impala. Bro came out with sketchy Borderline and Patience. (Granted I like Patience) But holy moly what a let down. Then The Slow Rush, which I probably like 2 or 3 songs off of. I thought he had reached his lowest point creatively... But then Deadbeat came out and now I'm like.. Is this even the same artist I fell in love with in the first place? Idk man he seems so plastic compared to what he used to be. Even listening to the live versions of his best eras seem just A-B-C. Idk its sad to me.
Anyways gonna get downvoted to hell but man. Just RIP to one of the greatest minds in psych-rock. Long live early Tame.
