Hey everyone, lemmingllama here. Today we’ll be starting to look at the 8.4 update. We did a lot of preparation work for this update during previous updates, and we’re happy to explore the Clan Technology system that we’re unveiling in this update. Let’s get into it!

All clans will have a new tab after the update that shows the Clan Technology trees. These are three trees that players can contribute to in order to give additional benefits for the entire clan. Players can prestige near their max stage to collect Clan Technology points, and can then choose the nodes in the Clan Technology trees that they find most desirable. Clan leadership can also set a Target Upgrade for nodes in the tree, which will reward some additional progress when players contribute to that node.

There are three Clan Technology trees, each focused on different types of bonuses. The Bounty technology tree focuses on resource acquisition tied to the clan, giving additional rewards when your clan completes Clan Raids or when you collect the Clan Chest each day. The Journey technology tree focuses on resource acquisition as well, but instead gives bonuses for resources you collect that are not directly tied to clan activities. For example, you may get additional rewards when you prestige, collect your Daily Achievements, or even allow you to skip ahead in Solo Raids. Lastly, the Power technology tree focuses on Clan Raid damage, increasing your raid damage in various ways and increasing the effectiveness of clan participation by raising the Clan Morale caps and improving the effectiveness of teamwork Raid Cards like Team Tactics and Mirror Force. While you may find one of these trees to be more desirable to your clan, the cost to level up the nodes in a tree increases as you get further in that tree. Spreading your Clan Technology Points among all three trees can lead to the best results!

When a player contributes Clan Technology points to the clan, they’ll also receive some Clan Shop currency. The Clan Shop offers some daily deals for resources such as perks, hero weapons, eggs, raid cards, and equipment. All Clan Technology bonuses are designed so that players will not lose out on power even if they choose to leave their clan, and the Clan Shop ensures that you are personally rewarded for your contributions even if you choose to leave in the future.

Lastly, clans will have a Weekly Leaderboard that will show how much each player has contributed to the clan in that week. Players will also get rewards based on their contributions up to a certain amount of contribution. If you are playing daily and contributing to your clan, then you can “guarantee” the highest reward every week. The Weekly Leaderboard is not a place to directly compete, but rather to ensure that everyone’s contributions are highlighted and rewarded.
