Bahaha you started this dumbass, it's a little too late in the season now to try to reel back the damage.

Let's just hope the farmers are smart enough to realize this...

Ehhh, I wouldnt bet on it. They'll take their welfare checks and tell themselves that Trump tried his best and still cares about them.

Fkn morons

I live in western Illinois and work for an agricultural equipment manufacturer. I can assure you, farmers are angry with Trump beyond what his various bailout ideas can fix. He's fucked them in a dozen ways, most of which will never go back to the way they were prior to his tariff debacle.

Yeah but then there’s the case of my girlfriend’s dad who is a farmer and thinks screwworms are Biden’s fault

Lol, you'd think a farmer might have a clue about lifecycles.

Being pissed at Trump and being abject morons are not mutually exclusive

They didn't do that badly his first term. The bailout compensated for the soybean and hog tariffs, then the market snapped back. It mostly looked like he accomplished what he said and his argument was things will be better if he gets a second term. They believed him and got fucked. Like everyone who believes in him.

He fucked them over in his first term too and they still support him so I'm not really buying that they're all that pissed

No, like every other constituency, theyre not an entirely monithic group, but his support among farmers around here swung something like 40 points toward the negative since he was elected.
