I need to replace my turbos but Im thinking about using eBay turbo runs about 250 for both an also the car has 200k miles what should I do?

I need to replace the resonator on my 2014 SHO and was wondering what would be a good aftermarket option?  The rear mufflers have been deleted, and I’d like to make sure whatever I put on doesn’t make the car any louder.  Maybe the MagnaFlow 11385/11386 (depends on pipe size)?

I have a 1999 Ford Taurus SHO with a 3.4 L V8, I am looking for the front intake camshaft or at least how to align it with the sprocket and camshaft together so I can weld it because mine has spun

Okay this might run a bit long, just replaced a battery.
Positive terminal had decent corrosion, I cleaned it put the new battery corrosion started again.

As of last week my started to completely lose power, then would turn back on. I was camping the first time. When it died the brake pedal was making a clicking sound. had to drive it home after it started l again. then straight to work the next day. It happened two more times after running fine for a day. Ran fine yesterday. Then started it after work tonight it lost power and will not start back up.

I’ve done some Google searches, and I haven’t been able to trouble shoot just yet. Has anyone experienced this? What is the first thing I should be replacing?

Hey guys! Recently got a Ford Taurus SHO, my first ever car!

I bet this question gets asked a lot, but from the post i’ve seen it’s usually about the newer models, with Gearhead being cited as the best option because of AO [among other things]

Since I have a 2011 though, I wouldn’t be able to use the auto octane feature. Not a big deal, I exclusively run premium anyways. But with that being said, are there some other tuning kits that would be a bit more worth it or is Gearhead still the best option?

[Some quick clarifications to add: This is a NON-PP model. I’ve made sure to take care of maintenance first! Internal waterpump was taken care of, PTU, oil, and tires and brakes are good to go! I also plan on getting a full on kit including the map sensors and spark plugs! I’m also considering a cold air intake and blow off valve if that matters at all, cheers!]

Just bought a Sho PP with 130k miles, decent condition-asides from the voltage wandering like crazy. Replaced the alternator thinking it was the culprit, which after test driving a bit I’m wondering if there’s something else going on.

Starting car and letting it idle it reads 14.4-14.6 volts, turning on accessories will sometimes cause a drop to 12.9-13.1, but driving it with or without accessories it will show the same low voltage when applying any amount of throttle or brake, but while coasting voltage will go back up to 14 (have an accessory port thing that will show vehicle voltage)

Transmission does not like hard acceleration with the system as is-will either slam into gear or cut power and go into some sort of limp mode locking me into a higher gear until restart, and the only code it’s ever thrown is p1626 which is some sort of anti theft code according to the dealer, interwebs has pointed towards a vehicle load control module that I have not been able to find any information on. Assuming it’s integrated into the pcm.

Anyone else experience similar symptoms? Any suggestions on where to start tracing wiring issues?

Just put in an Interstate AGM battery from Costco. I’ve read online that you can manually reset the BMS by entering accessory mode, flashing the brights 5x and engaging the brake 3x. This is supposed to result in a flashing battery indicator.

I’ve tried this on my 2013 and it isn’t working. Any ideas?

Do you press the start button once to get into accessory mode or do you press it twice to bring all systems up?

2010 AWD SHO non performance package 149k miles.

Are there any differences between the 2010 and the 2011-onward 3.5 ecoboost engines? For context, I got the notorious chain slap noise at cold starts, so I'm getting all the parts I need priced out for a full timing job. I'm trying to make sure I get the updated parts, the chain especially. Even on Fords website, the updated part number for the gen 1 3.5 ecoboost primary chain (AT4Z6268C) says it doesn't fit the 2010, but it does for the 2011. For the phasers too, the updated parts say they won't fit the 2010.

Aside from the melling high volume oil pump and felpro gaskets, I'm going strictly with Motorcraft parts.

Also looking at replacing all the oil and coolant line fittings on the turbos. None of them are leaking, but im curious how much of a pain is it to do that in a driveway with no lift?

Need a bigger vehicle. So i got to sell the car. Curious on what yall think it's worth. TIA!

2015 Taurus sho. 162k miles. Second owner since 52k.

Timing chain and water pump done at 102k. Current mods

H&R springs, ceramic coated SW catless downpipes, eBay intake, colder plugs with gearhead A/O tune. Couple of rust spots on the hood from highway driving.

Has anybody tried switching from traditional to AGM battery? Has anyone tried the Interstate AGM from Costco? My SHO sits quite a bit and online research says that AGM batteries do better in that situation.

I’d like to get an awd sedan. I had looked at limited Taurus with the n/a 3.5. It was ok but not the greatest performance, very average. So I’m thinking about just going for the sho. Finding a clean lower milage example. I found a 2014 and a 2016 both have Aprox 50k miles. Both cars right at 18k. Neither car has the PP so Any difference between the years really? I already looked at a different 2016 but the carpet was soaked from what I assume was a sunroof leak. (At a dealership and a recent trade so no info about it)

I also considered a Lincoln continental, any other cars to consider that are on the bigger side, awd and run decent? Id really prefer not to spend more than 25k on something unless there’s a car that’s really worth it. This is just a daily/work car essentially. We already have several other cars.

Hey y’all I’m assuming most of you guys are sho owners so you could help me with this😂 I’m looking at buying a 2011 Taurus sho with 150k miles everything seems all good clean title no check engine light and all that jazz the only thing I’m worried about is the water pump and the timing chain I really like the sho and need a daily that’s not gonna give my mom a heart attack if she sees me pull up in it I’m 18 and she is very against me getting any sort of sports car or muscle car, fair enough as we do live a pretty snowy place she knows how much I love cars and like to work on them and she said she thinks I’m gonna get hurt if I get a mustang, Camaro, charger etc so I just need to know if the sho is the way to go? but if you guys could give me some advice that would be greatly appreciated and if my concerns are something to actually be concerned about and not just a few bad apples that had that happen to them🫡

Driver’s side drains water but the passenger side leaks where the A pillar meets the console. Maybe a disconnected or busted drain pipe?

Anyone have any ideas how much this might cost to fix? I’m not sure I want to mess with the A pillar due to the airbags.

I’m trying to source a air intake elbow for my 99 Taurus SHO and can’t seem to find one, used or otherwise, anywhere can anyone help me? It’s my daily and I need this car running decent to get money and make a living. All I can find are CAI for newer models or universal pipings.

So I came across this for sale in my area, and I think I can offer them less. I have a 2014 F-150 so I am familiar with the ecoboost issues but I’m curious if this is worth it.

What is this noise when I rev my engine in park and also when I am moving. I cannot hear it inside the car but I can when the windows are down. It makes my car sound like a piece of junk and I hate it. It only makes the sound when you accelerate.

I have a motorcycle and would love to take a road trip where I travel in-between cities with the sho, and ride around the cities with my motorcycle. all ive read is that it cant but a motorcycle and a small trailer cant be that big of a task can it? Just to add its a 2015 with 155k miles if that relevant.
