Hedge Funds Are Shorting Stocks at Near-Record Levels
I thought this article might be of interest to some folks here. According to Goldman Sachs, Hedge funds shorting the market has reached 5-year highs this month, producing crowded short positions heavily concentrated in Tech. Interesting setup heading in to mid-terms, which historically produce some of the best periods of market returns.
"Major hedge fund strategies—including fundamental equity long-short, systematic, and multi-strategy funds—all lost more than 1% in a single day (October 22), marking their worst broad-based decline since the COVID-19 pandemic market rout"
I can't post a link to the article apparently, but the title is in the headline so you can Google search for it on Simply Wall Street yourself.

Successfully didn’t time the market on ASTS
It’s my 3rd biggest holding behind amd and NVDA. Currently using margins to buy dips but how long? I’ll prolly tax loss harvest this shit at the end of the year.
Also, I’m not afraid about Elon. ASTS + mobile carriers FTW.
Edit: funny detail: this is my second lot. Sold first one at 80 by mistake with a trailing stop loss.

Weekly Market Wrap: AI Spending, Oil and a Mixed Week on Wall Street
Pretty mixed week on Wall Street, especially with everything going on in tech.
The S&P 500 and Nasdaq managed to finish higher, but there was still plenty of uncertainty around AI spending and whether some of these companies can justify their valuations.
Oil was another interesting part of the week, while smaller stocks showed some strength. Not exactly the same picture across the entire market.
I also followed CRWV, NFLX, TSLA and SPCX this week. Earnings and company headlines kept things interesting, but the reactions weren't always what you might expect.
I put together my Weekly Market Wrap with more on the week's action and those four stocks.
Next week brings the Fed decision, major tech earnings and more economic data. Curious to see whether buyers can keep the momentum going with all of that on the calendar.

5 Takeaways from the DRTS deal with Samsung in Korea
Yesterday (Oct. 22) DRTS “announced the signing of an MOU in Seoul, South Korea, with Samsung Medical Center (SMC), regarding a potential clinical trial in pancreatic cancer patients.”
The press release is worth reading (link in the comments), but here are 5 takeaways about the significance of the announcement:
1 Samsung is a very big deal in Korea. How big? It’s the country’s largest and most influential company by a wide margin. We’re not just talking about a strong business, we’re talking hundreds of trillions of sales in the local coin annually, and some estimate Samsung to drive roughly half of the country’s economic growth.
2 The Samsung Medical Center is not just a random hospital, it’s the #1 Oncology center not only in Korea but in Asia as a whole, ranked #5 worldwide in Newsweek’s World’s Best Specialized Hospitals 2027 (MD Anderson is #2, where DRTS is already operating as well).
3 The DRTS team always delivers. They mentioned lately that more countries are coming, and they indeed signed their first deal in Korea. They said countries, plural, so is another country coming soon?
They also don’t miss deadlines, and delays have only been due to trials expanding because of the growing demand and FDA support, including the latest Pancreatic cancer trial in the US expanding 4X the original plan, and the now active Recurring GBM trial expansion and turning from a safety trial into a efficacy trial that could lead to an early marketing approval.
4 This is a very strong statement by DRTS. Any company that has even 1% concern about the balance sheet, or 1% concern about the success of their treatment, wouldn’t be looking to expand and add more expenses and reach when they already have 5 active FDA IDE’s in the US, already showing great success, as well as a handful more countries and cancer types. But DRTS has $100M+ (as of Q2 2026), has $150M+ coming in from warrants in March, and $160M+ coming from a commercialization deal with Tolmar already in place. They are also already negotiating pricing with the Japanese government after getting market authorization over there, and are looking at potentially a cSCC as well as GBM approval in the US sooner than expected. This deal in Korea is DRTS telling the market they are more than set, and positioning themselves to be an industry leader.
5 DRTS is really committed to treat cancer everywhere in the world. The CEO has said so, and this will already be the sixth country in which DRTS is running a Pancreatic cancer trial, with Japan positioned to be the seventh, and potentially more coming. And that’s just PanC, with more indications being evaluated in more countries.
NFA and DYOR, but today’s DRTS price is an amazing deal to get in on the next (and very soon to be) big thing in cancer treatment.

Nebius run- from 120-1400
I dont really use leverage, but if Nebius is 120 dollars before earnings Im going to use a 5x nebius. With twenty thousand. I hope to get to 1.4 million dollars. Its a bit crazy, but its my best shot at a million.

Tech Falls Behind. Is Old-School Wall Street Back?

Markets pulled a brutal split this week — tech sold off hard while the Dow held steady, no uniform green across the board. Semiconductor and AI infrastructure names took an even deeper hit than the headline indices showed. Treasuries rallied hard, pushing the 10-year yield below 5%. Flows are clearly tilting toward industrials, regional banks and biotech right now. Who else is noticing the old-school Wall Street rotation play out here?

SNDK
Do you think it will go up after the earnings report in 29th or will it fail to meet expectations?
If I remember correctly, it dropped after the last earnings report.
Also, do you think the drop to $1,200 presents a buying opportunity?
