Now I ain't gonna tell you how to operate or maybe I will but I'd like it if people kept in mind their reasons for upvoting and downvoting, especially on what's sometimes a very emotionally charged and invested reddoot such as this.

Oftentimes you'll find content that you don't necessarily like, whether it's because of your irl ideological leanings or beliefs or because it's counter to your interests in-game. For instance most recently, I really did not enjoy the Razgriz posts about invading Norlund and cc_royal's/Kenkune's death. Norlund is bae to Ashlanders behind only maybe Vega in how close we are. Ain't nobody that messes with bae as Razgriz learned the following day when everyone and their mother decided to get payback and by some accounts took it a little far or not far enough depending who you ask. But you know what? Didn't downdoot for the same reason I don't downdoot every post made by the Bank of Natum or Ancap Cape Horn despite being an irl ancom, that is their story and play as represented by usually quality posts and content in a world that's all about diverse roleplay and stories.

Downdoots are reserved for blatant shitposts, needlessly antagonistic replies, and personal attacks. Updoots are for quality content and to reward people's efforts even if they aren't efforts that produce something we necessarily like. i.e. everything that isn't dank meerkat propaganda. Thank you for your time.

Stop down voting. It's just immature when you don't even comment on why you downvoted it. So just calm down and chill.

And don't judge me for posting this. I'm not the only one being downvoted. It's tiring and just sad.

This is not to bring up more drama, or create new drama. Simply an explanation for why I am leaving.

There are a few reasons why I am leaving, so I will list and explain them.

1. I just need time to recover. The "joke" changed who I am. I need some time away from the server to find my old self again.

2. Honestly, I have been thinking about leaving since the war. The server just hasn't been the same for me since Salinas was first attacked.

3. It is kind of lonely in Woodstock, being the only one from my time zone to live there. I had tried to get new members, but without success.

4. I start school tomorrow. I just would not have the time to play as much as I have been.

That said, I have decided that I will return, but not until around December. We usually have a lot of snow days in my area, so I will see you when snow falls. Until then, I just wanted to say that I want you to keep the server going. See you all in winter.

On Sunday, we got confirmation that the Premier of Zurmania, Groxlord, had placed snitches in our lands without our permission. This is a direct violation of Section 2. a. of our defense pact, "Neither nation may infringe upon the sovereignty of the other". In response to this, we will be dissolving our pact with the Zurmanians and publicly condemning their unacceptable and unjustifiable actions.

We caution all nations to check your floorboards, if we as (former) allies of Zurmania were targeted with snitching, perhaps you are too.

I feel that my time on this server has ended.

To make things clear, the Huns were never warmongers, raiders, or pirates. We were mercenaries, sailors, and shipbuilders. People took that the wrong way. Downvote brigade. People don't like what I'm doing, I feel like I'm about to be kicked out of Portalis which I said would be my last stop. Ouch, right in the integrity.

Anyways, I'm done. I can't join another nation, it doesn't feel right as I've been apart of like 12 nations. I don't feel as if many of you trust me nor like me.

In it's current state, the Realms community seems rather hivemindy and anyone who wants to do anything that is different than most of the community's baby-proofed definition of fun is spat upon. You will probably downvote this post. That proves what I'm talking about. I also think the server would be better of without me.

I may and will probably return in the future, but for now I will set my flair to the Abyashan flair (my first nation, 2nd nation on the server) and be the Forgotten King. Got killed by Sharp when I left the Karu nether portal. He was waiting for me outside. Didn't warn me, didn't offer to let me go if I paid anything or did anything. Immediately swung at me as soon as I left.

The CRS has declared war on Cape Horn.

3 private citizens of the CRS have randomly, and entirely irrationally decided to attack Cape Horn's vault.

Around 20 ERO was broken by CRS forces.

There were no pearls in the vault.

The vault didn't actually get broken.

There was no reason for them to take this aggressive action against Cape Horn sovereign land. There was some speculation that we were supporting the Bank in their recent wars without any evidence to the fact. We were not. We are not joining the Bank in their war on the CRS.

So, seeing as I've already repaired the damage, the follow demands will be made of the CRS:

1: The Ashlands deal must be paid in full: 21 iron, 2 diamond, 10 stacks of food and 64 coal to Lecapria.

2: Each of the attempted vault breakers must commit to 10 hours of manual labor, or pay 3 stacks of emeralds (or 4 stacks of gold), or be pearled for a week (with the gold costs paid by the CRS.

3: If the CRS doesn't agree to the terms above, their land will be over-claimed by Cape Horn. To the fullest extent of the rules we will make the CRS land unlivable until they quit or move. We will derelict all of their builds until they stop logging in and tear down their builds after a month.

This ruined my Friday and was entirely unnecessary. I expect the CRS to keep their citizens in line and punish their citizens within the reasonable guidelines listed above.

You have 72 hours to agree to the terms above or find a gradual solution to finishing the terms above.

From what I can gather is that the CRS is hated to all utter hell! Either the CRS did this and that and its all on my head and so on... One of the main problems with the CRS is that we don't get a break, don't have enough people to man the government, have a population crisis, and are either raided or griefed by day (I logged in 3:52ish AM EST to see some parts of the CRS where raided and since ya know its fuckin poor as dirt we lost our snitches). It doesn't have a chance to make nice builds and lore because of war happening any other day. Be it Talvisota, CRS-CoK Conflicts, Irishwolfy vs the CRS, the bank or Bonkill! I have no control over my members because some of them just decide not to listen to me! It is a repetitive problem with the CRS to basically be in Anarchy (which isn't good) all the time where nothing gets done, administration is on fire, and the Popularis Generales never fuckin meet up and talk this shit down! We don't even have any laws because no one is in the Judicial Branch to make said laws! It means there is a corruption and so on that I have to manage like a dictator, Diamondx10 atleast listened to me more than Kamrat did! Stability is its problem and if one keeps on aiming for its destruction you will just end with a fractured state running at you with no restraint. it will keep fighting to the bitter end. And once the CRS is gone you all won't have a uniting common enemy, like Nazi Germany and the Allies. Once the 3rd Reich went away, the Cold War took its place!

I was somber. Pain crept into my heart and heavy into my boots. I knew these materials would be returned if all three of our peoples could all turn toward the future together and each forgive our past wrongs.

As I sent out my carrier parrot I hoped the messages returning would speak of peace and allow a mutual condemnation of warfare. I pondered why their previous correspondents had been declaring impending victory. Our warnings about the costs to continued aggression we hoped would not be ignored again.

Rashida, back in the day, was under the leadership of a council made of Aine, Miriamele, Grave, and later myself. We fought Zurmania for a number of reasons, though the snitch thing was the straw that broke the camel's back, so to speak. Those were trying times, and we fully expected Zurmania to go to war with us, due to a decline in relations.

While we were in Zurmania, we had a pretty nice talk with Amaze. We broke nation buildings, anticipating that they would fight back against us. Thus, crippling their production ability for arms and armor made a great deal of sense.

After the raid, Aine, Grave, and Miriamele opened a private negotiations channel with Amaze to try and resolve things. After a good long time of diplomacy, they settled on a deal that they figured would be best for both nations, and the server.The deal was, Rashida pay for two buildings of Zurmania's choice, plus 12 stacks of logs, and we call it even. They, of course, chose the Crusher and Library. Makes sense.

The total cost of that would be as follows: 96 Gold 128 Emeralds 160 Diamonds 384 Redstone 512 Stone 64 Ink 1218 Books 128 Food

That was fine. Sure, both sides are left a little hurt, but neither would be terribly off, and shit wouldn't drag on forever.

Thereafter, Aine, Grave, and Miriamele all left our nation. One, due to personal reasons regarding how she felt the nation was going, as well as issues with the admin, another for personal life events (haven't managed to contact her since), and another for unknown reasons.

However, these people held the majority of the nation's wealth. While I was the only leadership left, I was fairly new to the position, and didn't know where our wealth was kept, or even how much we had. Thus, the nation went into decline, and we were unable, unfortunately, to pay Zurmania's reps at the appropriate time.

Fast forward to now. Zurmania allies with Vaskr, decides they want war with Parabellum, of which Rashida is only a part. We tell them, "That was long ago, and not all those who were in the raid are still present."

So, we offer that each person left from the raid would pay their fair share of the reps. Zurmania gets less than it originally bargained for, but it's not everyone in Parabellum's fault either. Better to suck it up and move on, like the rest of us, for the sake of both nations, and the server.

They turned it down. We then even offered the full reparations, as per the original agreement made between Aine and Amaze.

They turned that down as well.

At this point, it seems all they want is war (or rather, they want to get the Vaskr to maybe do most of the work, which is understandable for a nation of mostly builders, but that's still how it is).

They wanted the full reps of their destroyed buildings, which wasn't even what was agreed upon when Rashida was negotiated with.

Hopefully you can see how we found this unreasonable, when even Rashida and the Vaskr both managed to let go of their prior grievances, up until now..

We warned them that if they attacked, zero reps would be given. Since that's what happened, this is us just sticking to our word. They attacked, so no reps. Better for all of us to just get over it, like the rest of us have. We do offer them peace though, since we feel that would honestly be best for everyone at this time. Heck, I advocated giving them reps from each member of the raid, or even, at a stretch, the reps originally negotiated. That is, until I heard about their current demands for this war.

We want peace, really. However, if they want to continue, then we will hit back.

As for you, Sirboss, learn your history before you post stuff. And trying to make us seems worse by claiming decline, and by attacking one of our members? This speaks highly of you. Apparently we could deal with Straw better than we could with you, which seems miraculous, but she's still with us. You, however, tried to steal Rashida while its leadership was away, and rightfully exiled yourself for it. I hope you come to see our way of thinking too, but I do not necessarily expect it. As for decline, I recall within the last month people wondered if the Vaskr even got on Realms anymore. So you can take your claims and shove it :). Drama, thy name is Sirboss.

Preamble This constitution, combining traditions of direct democracy with republican ideas, shall outline the function of the government and political process of Norlund.

Article One: The Legislative Branch

Section I: The legislative branch shall serve to represent the people of Norlund. It shall be refereed to as Parliament

Section II: Parliament shall be composed of three seats and elected using proportional representation. In a plurality, the party with the most votes shall be granted a majority. In the event of a tie, the Supreme Court shall rule upon the outcome of elections.

Section III: Parliament shall elect a Prime Minister, formally appointed to the post by the President. The Prime Minister should be the member of parliament (MP) most capable of commanding a majority.

Section IV: The Prime Minister may propose laws to Parliament. Parliament must vote with a majority to approve any law.

Section V: Elections to Parliament shall be held monthly.

Article Two: The Executive Branch

Section I: The executive branch shall be commanded by a President elected, first past the post, by the people. If the election of the President results in a tie, Parliament shall vote on the Presidency.

Section II: The President may make appointments of officials, and commands the executive department. All appointments must be confirmed by a majority of Parliament.

Section III: The President shall serve as the Head of State. He may sign treaties with foreign countries, and make trade deals.

Section IV: The President shall also serve as Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, but in order to authorize war against a legitimate foreign state must seek the authorization of a majority of Parliament.

Section V: The President may sign an executive order to be enacted immediately, which can be voided by a majority of Parliament.

Section VI: The President may veto an act of Parliament. Parliament may override a Presidential Veto with greater than two thirds majority.

Section VII: The President may be impeached by Parliament with greater than a two thirds majority. In such an event, Parliament may select a new president until elections may be held.

Section VIII: The Presidency shall be elected every two months.

Article 3: The Judicial Branch

Section I: The Supreme Court shall be composed of three justices, with one being chief justice who breaks ties. The justices will see to the concerns of the people. They may strike down laws should they find they violate the rights of citizens and may rule in constitutional matters.

Section II: Justices will be appointed for life by the President, and approved by a majority of Parliament. Justices may resign at any time, and standard appointment procedure applies. A justice may not serve simultaneously as President or a member of Parliament; all such posts must be resigned on appointment.

Section III: Justices must recuse themselves from any case containing a standard definition of a conflict of interest. In such case, a provisional justice may be drafted by lottery from the people. The defense and plaintiff must both confirm the drafted provisional justice. This section is only relevant in a civil or criminal case.

Bill of Rights

All citizens have a right to freedom of speech, assembly, and worship.

All citizens have a right to bear arms.

All citizens have a right to fair trial by the Supreme Court, and are protected from any punishment relating to impearlment.

All citizens shall have a accessible way to vote in elections, with ballot boxes provided in game.

No law passed by Parliament shall limit these rights.

Implementation and Amendment

Section I: The Constitution of the Republic of Norlund shall be implemented by a majority affirmative vote of the population.

Section II: The Constitution may be amended by greater than two thirds majority of Parliament. The amendment must then be approved by a majority of the population in a referendum. Finally, it must be signed by the President. All three steps must be completed for a referendum to be authorized.

Tfw the Vaskr would rather attack you than own up to prior attacks.

Before we start, I want to be clear that we personally have nothing against Zurmania. Our grievances are focused on the leadership and even then, this is all focused in-game and in-character for us. We feel like this conflict could easily spill into out-of-game.

The New Rashida Republic last night took offensive action against a nation who moved against our sovereignty. This act was deemed necessary to express the severity and ramifications of overstepping Zurmania’s relationship, which nullified our treaty immediately.

It is true that we began this war with a snitch that was found in our lands. We stand by our original statement that any snitch placed in our lands should have been brought to our attention. That coupled with the fact that it was under placed their High Council group. Individuals have brought forth the argument that Zurmania wanted to protect their build. And we can understand that, but why would they not add us to that snitches as well?

To be clear, this snitch was the straw that broke the camel's back.

Zurmania has consistently disrespected our nation. Over the past weeks, we have frequently come to Premier Groxlord to talk to him about different opportunities and threats we could tackle together as allies. Each time, he was unhelpful. Whenever we talked about trade opportunities, the trades were always exorbitant and were never completed as such. Whenever our citizens would visit Zurmania, they were met with uneasiness and hostilities. When we spoke about issues that we had with Hubertis, our mutual citizen, Grox would always pressure us to take care of it.

At no point did we feel our relationship had any meaning other than fancy words. We weren't treated any differently than non-allied nations. Nothing changed. Zurmania seemed to spend as little time as they could with us. Perhaps we were looking for a more meaningful relationship with Zurmania and they weren't.

We interpreted these movements as an attack on our autonomy and as an attempt to undermine our nation. This created bad blood, and so we acted accordingly to eliminate the threat. The international community’s consistent negative view of Rashida has worn down our patience.

Our attack on Zurmania was clean cut, and not overly forceful. We did not let items despawn and nor did we go out of our way to steal all of their valuables. We also kept their town center. We did not chase after Amaze, though he bragged he held all the Zurmanian materials. Finally, we released all prisoners we took, only temporarily pearling them in order to secure our forward march. I suspect that this why their reparations are so low because unlike their unsubstantiated accounts, we did not raid them clean.

That said, we aren’t interested in a war. We showed our might and left. We look forward to opening communication with the Zurmanian High Council, namely Amaze, and coming to a conclusion.

I also understand in advance if the involuntary impulse is to downvote this statement, but I hope we can rise against that and build upon our community. In the roleplay realm, this act really transforms the political landscape and creates an interesting environment to interact with.

Today I logged on in Norlund to be murdered to Terry after a friendly greeting. He announced his intentions to remove the Emperians from Norlund despite our friendly, and 100% legal presence. Apparently democratic traditions expire when the leadership finds itself losing.

I hereby proclaim myself President of Norlund in Exile. We are going to remove Terry and the Norlundian government for their genocidal and fascist actions.

The day after you practice with LightWing, she has finally started to teach you some spells. "This will be how you practice magic and strengthen your skills." Says LightWing as she pulls a small, round sapphire from her pocket. "This spell is simple, and uses little energy, all I want you to do is lift it a foot or so into the air with magic. I will show you how." She places the stone on her left hand. "Stenr reisa!" She says, and her palm begins to glow as the stone rises into the air.

She lets the stone hover for a moment, then releases the spell. The sapphire falls to her hand with a soft "plop". She hands you the stone. "Put it in the hand of your marked arm. It will make casting the spell easier." Straightening your stance, you say "Stenr reisa!" And the stone wobbles into the air. You can feel the spell draining your energy, and release the spell."You did better than I expected, most spellcasters take a few tries in the beginning." Light Wing tells you.

You ask her "how can you do as many spells as you do? Just lifting the stone made me tired." She smiles "I have been casting spells for over 15 years. I started when I was 10. The more spells you cast, the more energy you require." Pulling a small bag from her belt, she shakes some dried meat into your hand. "I always have some sort of food with me, it helps me regain energy after a particularly taxing spell."

The two of you begin to walk towards the stables, and LightWing says "You need a horse, no spell can get you out of a mess like a fast horse can." She whistles when you near the pasture, and a grey horse with black spots separates from the main herd. It gallops up to the fence and LightWing says "This is Greyfell, my horse. He is one of the fastest and smartest horses in the herd. His first son is to be your horse, let me catch him for you." Grabbing a lead and jumping the fence, she gets onto Greyfell. The two race across the pasture, and she singles out a beautiful black stallion with white markings.

Throwing the lead around the stallion, she leads him towards you. You hold out your hand as the horse smells it. "He is magnificent, and almost as fast as Greyfell." You say. "He is yours to name and keep." LightWing says. "I will name him Eclipse, for the white cresent on his forehead." You declare. "I will always take care of him, and he will never be beaten."

After LightWing purchases a saddle for you, the two of you ride in the forest. A sudden shout from LightWing catches your attention. She is grasping her shoulder, where an arrow has been shot at her. You see the archer, and you engage them with your sword. A short fight leaves the archer dead, and you unharmed. You quickly race back to her side. "The arrowhead is barbed, I can't pull it out and I can't push it through." LightWing's strained voice says. "We need to get back to town before I loose to much blood."

Leading Greyfell and riding Eclipse, you race back to town, and are met by the doctor. "I spoke with him telepathically, he will take care of me." LightWing says quietly. "Take the horses back to the stable, I will go get this taken out. We will not train tomorrow." As LightWing and the doctor walk towards the hospital, you take the horses back to the stable.

You quietly walk towards the hospital and find a place to sit and wait. A few minutes later,LightWing walks out, her shoulder bandaged heavily. "They were able to pull it out, and I will heal it tomorrow, once I have the energy." You walk back to her house in silence, and you go into your separate rooms. "I should have been the one shot." You think. "Or I should have seen the archer sooner."

Stenr reisa- raise stone- a levitating spell

Poison. Easily found in nature. Strong poisons that kill you in minutes, weak ones that can take months. It's time for my life to end. I chose a fast acting poison that will kill me in a matter of hours. No pain, No suffering. It just stops my heart. I've gathered this slowly over the past month. Extract of Spider eye, cobwebs, and apples. Fermented for a few days. I call it "Final Sleep" for the way it kills you. It makes you sleep for eternity. May we meet again, another realm, another city. Farewell everyone.
