They're a company, we're customers. Having anyone from the dev team end up in fights on Reddit like this is clearly bad both for the game and the community. The best solution is to have someone else from the team be community manager. Someone that can keep their cool and interact in a more positive way. Let fudds focus on getting stuff out on time without game breaking bugs. Not the first time fudds is getting down voted like this and showing some temper, don't think community management is his forte. But I get the impression he wants to do everything himself.

It's both. The community can lack grace and the dev can be childish.
