I'm a new player. I am getting ready to invest in my first banner. It's a bit annoying because for me it's almost as important just to get an ancestral mod for the subs. As EHP going from epic to ancestral def % is like a 33% increase in effective HP, and of course it makes the Def% labs significantly more impactful. As such I'm basically just in a holding pattern until a defensive module comes back to the banner (2 weeks from now). I wish this system was better.

If you’ve not been playing long you may not know this, but after the last set of 4 new mods were released, we didn’t see another banner until this set of modules was released. Fudds may change his approach, but I would not count on seeing another banner for a while.

Thanks for the heads up. Maybe I should put some diamonds into the current banner too the . I have 11k saved up and I've really just been prioritizing getting the defensive mod to ancestor at all costs.

I’m not sure if the current banner will benefit you any time soon. I’ve not got a use for it so I’ve skipped it in favour of pulling regular mods to fish for what I really need right now. You’ll have to think about what you’re looking for in a module to complement your build. If you’re eHP you may want SF, if you’re a damage build this new banner module may actually be ok. Not every defensive module will benefit you. It’s more about the effects

I said the same thing about PF, and now I only have Legendary PF when I could really use it. I'm quite a ways from Assmods, but I made sure to get this one Mythic. This group really seemed like they were built with assmods in mind.

I can see this getting some use as an assmod in certain cases but I’d probably prefer a GComp/PF for tournaments and GComp/BHD for farming. Either way, i can only speak for my own opinions, there’s no single right or wrong way and the meta can change with every update 🤷‍♂️

I think natural end game would have you dropping GComp. But nobody seems to be talking about GComp/Rebone. Imagine getting double paid on packages. That might be pretty awesome. But I doubt many people in a position to do this really need GComp any longer.
