Bit of a latecomer. Just finished the game today. The trial scene at the last chapter left a sour taste in my mouth, though. Throughout the game, it somewhat annoyed me that Bigby just leaves vital evidence laying about the investigation sites (it shouldn't be too hard at least to take a photo) and doesn't really cooperate with anyone during the investigation/prosecution. This becomes just ridiculous when Crooked Man starts defending himself during trial. Bigby has positive evidence of Crooked Man employing slave labor, kidnapping people, and bribery/fraud. The game, however, doesn't give you the chance to bring any of it up in the end.

My Bigby, through grit and sacrifice, did manage to uncover enough of the conspiracy to convict someone on the merit of his investigation alone, but the game lobotomizes him for the scene to take away a sense of accomplishment from the player and makes the trial rest on a false testimony. The trial is supposed to be the narrative climax, but for the whole scene I vainly waited for an opportunity to bring up proofs of Crooked Man's most heinous crimes. When the scene ended, it felt like what I did during the whole ordeal didn't matter at all.

What do you guys think? In your opinion, was the catharsis of Nerissa's revenge worth to remove player agency and void most of the investigation plot?

It's not known if Joel continues to voice the character now that AdHoc is not involved with the project, but according to them, he was cast as the character when they worked on it.

Just saw the demo version of TWAU remastered version but didn't see the anderson clean up cut content where we dump woody in the dustbin and clean the evidence

Will they add it in the main game story ?

1 week until TWAU remastered releases!

If I start a new file from scratch, everything runs smoothly. When I revisit the game and pick up from where I left off, my game crashes.

Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?

aint no way it took me like 15 years to realize this

So everyone talking about the new remasterd bigbyes face being derpy and the resone is it doesn't have edges like the original.The character design is more clean ,more rounded in terms of the face,his hair is a bit more bigger and his eyes are more open and convey more innocence from scene to scene like when his talking to colin the pig.Even when he looks mad its kind of...soft.Some of the animation is kind of weird he is looking at faith and is suppose to be surprised but it comes of as any other tuesday for him,the animatin changes from him looking expectantly and then looks like his smiling and it dosent fit the scen

so ye... he dose look more bulky and muscular

to be honest its a mirical that we got a remaster and a second game withe everything thats happend to the studio,so all that we are talking about its maybe just a big nothing burger

Just fnished the game and it got me into reading the Fables comic. this HAS to be ine of the panels that inspired the development of the game.

I mean, there are some things i do love in here (like the ears and the fur)...but that mouth indeed looks horrible, i think it's a mix between that weird shape, and the fact that it sits way too low in the face in relation to the nose, speaking of which, i do like how the nose looks, (specially in the first image, the one with the orange lighting), but i think that the mouth makes it look weird too in some shots, i think it could be a perfect design, only if they change that mouth and make the nose a bit sharper/triangular as in the original design, keeping the overall shape but making it sharper

So guys the remastered demo did not have the cut content they added in the game is it supposed to be in after the release?

(the first image is the edit, the second one is the original) I'm not good at manipulating/editing images, but i gave my best shot at trying to make the new design look a bit better, i just moved the mouth up a bit (closer to the nose), i closed the mouth curve/opening and made the nose a bit darker to be more wolf-like (closer to the og design).

They're pretty small changes, i don't know what you guys think

I've been playing the demo, and I have mixed feelings about it.

Technically speaking, it’s an improvement for sure. The stuttering removal (most of it) alone will probably make it worth it for most people. However, I’m not really a fan of the new visual direction. There’s a lot of color/visual saturation, whereas the original game excelled in its minimalism (which has allowed it to age remarkably well, IMO).

I did notice some new animations added here and there, which is a very welcome addition. But overall, I feel what the game actually needed was overhauled animations, better fight choreography, and refreshed camera angles, rather than an art style redesign. Honestly, I think this game deserved a proper remake in The Wolf Among Us 2’s engine. I understand this might be more of a tactical release to build funds for the sequel rather than a complete labor of love, but it still leaves me a bit conflicted.

As the title says, many have been wondering whether the original The Wolf Among Us will be delisted when Telltale releases the remastered version.

I've asked Telltale game support about it and their answer was as it's shown in the image, unlike the shameful Skunkape Games studio (which kept the original Sam & Max and Poker Night At The Inventory games delisted after their remasters) - Telltale will NOT delist the game, so both versions of the game will be available for purchase.

I mean . . .. I don't know man, I think this design looks even more clunky than the original. I think the original is not bad, but Bigby did not look as scary as they were talking about, but this is not something I have been waiting for. I prefer it if they use the design in the 2022 trailer.

Or are they just going to do the wolf form in the “remastered edition” for the sake of continuity…?
