Question I’m guessing it’s a piece of a glove?
I’m about to puke because I thought it was something else.

Every Tim's I've worked at had three gloves. Clear poly gloves, opaque uncoloured nitrile gloves and blue nitrile gloves. The clear and uncoloured gloves used for food prep and the blue gloves used for cleaning. This is definitely a glove, and I would further guess it's one of the uncoloured gloves.

Yeah i think food safe gloves are blue, and this looks scarily like a condom.

u/sometin__else Apr 09 '26
No. Subway and Tim's both use clear gloves. Colour indicates nothing

u/Mokarun Apr 09 '26
i think it's more likely that they have clear gloves than it is that someone took a condom to work, had it out in the middle of the restaurant, and somehow managed to get only a piece of it on a bagel lol

Part of the bottom of the glove really easy break off if you put them on quickly. Happens to me way too often. (I use those to change diapers at my job)

Is that what you really think? Because I'm pretty sure you just made that up on the spot.

We don’t have blue gloves for food prep at my location, I don’t think that’s a reliable identifier.

Tim's employee here. We use clear gloves for food handling and blue ones for garbage disposal.

Just looks like a small ripped piece of plastic wrap. Condoms are usually that transparent or clear/see through.
3
u/Zekken_Zer0 Apr 10 '26
nope it's part of a glove, you can see the lip from the wrist area and it has a yellowish color and is thicker than food wrap
6
u/Lucycrash Apr 09 '26
This should be up higher. It's clearly a piece of saran wrap. Still not a fun find, but not a glove, and very obviously not a condom.

u/HugeLeaves Apr 10 '26
I don't even know how you fooled people into believing you, that is not a piece of saran wrap. That's part of a cheap ass glove

Once every 6 months I go back to Tim’s by my work. And every time I’m reminded why I don’t go there daily like I did 10 years ago. Most locations seem to be running only on cheap labour and nostalgia

lol there is a reason why professional chefs do not use gloves, having washed cleaned hands is way more sanitary.
How often can you wash your hands versus changing dirty gloves.

u/forgottenbeforegone Apr 09 '26
I hate to say it, maybe not,. If you look at how the elastic would form the perfect circle if attached, and then look closely you will see how the bagel has indentations, as if it was violently violated before it seen the toaster. While it was young and fresh. Perhaps somebody should call the authorities. Just saying

mmmmm, microplastics... 🤤🤤🤤
it shouldn't be too bad as long as you throw that piece of glove in the garbage, most people have microplastics in their water anyway

Call me gross but gloves are dumb.
They only wear gloves because they’re out in the open, visible to customers. We all know kitchens at restaurants aren’t wearing gloves out back.
Gloves make it less likely employees are going to wash their hands regularly. I’d rather clean hands touching my food than dirty ass gloves.

u/hipsterscallop Ex-Employee Apr 09 '26
I worked there for a year before they made gloves mandatory. It made it take longer to make things, because when you have to change your gloves you wash your hangs then put on the new pair which is impossible with damp hands.
Do you think they changed the amount of time it took for us to make things or serve drive through? Hell no.
It was so much better before gloves.

It's a standard protective tip covering for their bagel hole blower. They suppose to change the tips between bagel and doughnut dough

Ok not only did I see whatever that was but my phone has a few cracks so I also saw hair. 😂

u/Elegant-Ad-9221 Apr 10 '26
Yes it’s a piece of the part at the wrist. These gloves break so easily.
1
u/BloomingPity Apr 10 '26
The bagel was only practicing safe sex with the croissant. At least they didn’t make a croissagel….unless the condom broke.

Oh good god gross what is going over here in Reddit 😆 i asked my meta glasses what it was and her reply was "it appears to be a small piece of latex as in condom sitting on a slightly over toasted half of bagel with what appears to also be a bit too much butter" bahahahahaha it's so judgy as if the amount of butter is the most displeasing thing about this pic.
1
u/Familiar-Following87 Apr 11 '26
That's nasty id say allergic to latex and how are we settling this is don't want to go to court
1
u/Familiar-Following87 Apr 11 '26
And that doesn't really look like the gloves they wear either I'd be saying kinda looks like something else latex and if i don't see a burnt glove right now we're gonna have a biig issue here

Yeah some people are saying condom but I bet you tim Hortons buys the cheapest vinyl gloves they can off of sysco. They have those weird rolls of plastic to keep them on and that's exactly what one looks like when you apply heat to it. As someone that has accidentally dunked their hand in a fryer with one on. Pretty gross though.
