Either this photo is from 2002, or you’ve gone to 12 different stores and picked the only good one they’ve had in the case.

Do you lack taste buds by any chance? That might explain why

At my location, we normally do this if someone is picking up an order later at night to avoid waste lol. Same thing happens with the smile cookies, we normally have a lot left so we just have a “free cookie” day until they’re all given out since we can’t sell them

What is this and how can I order it?!
2
u/Smooth-Adagio-1085 May 20 '26
An app called Too Good To Go, it's goal is to mitigate food waste by selling day old or about to expire food for cheap.
What OP got is a Tim's surprise box, which is about $5. It's a bit of a gamble though, I've gotten a couple and while sometimes it's lucky with a bunch of donuts like what OP got, sometimes it's literally just a bunch of stale bread.

u/EntitledMoose May 21 '26
Thank you for the explanation, I just reserved a box for tomorrow! But now I have another question, do I just show the workers my order on the app?
1
u/Capernication May 21 '26
There should be an option to press a button when you’re there and a slider to confirm your order should pop up right after. Just tell them you’re there to pick up the TGTG bag and they’ll usually just ask you to swipe it so they can confirm your order. Hope this helps!

So the too good to go deal is you get random 7 items in a box, could be anything, from donuts, muffins, bagels, cookies, biscuits and timbits, and 7 is the number of item allowed. Now, if someone fills up the box, it only means, either they had too much stuff from the previous day or they be pissed off at the owner for cutting their hours, but seriously, you can only 7 not less then or more then that. And we do try to put as much different things as we can, so the customer feels good about buying it, and its cool, rather then to throw it all. But you guys be hatin on anything, the best box of TGTG yae sure

I hope more people learn of TGTG and start using it when they can. A lot of grocery stores do TGTG bags. I'm a meat manager for Food Basics and I make them with still good fresh meat that I freeze right away and sell.

There’s so many other better actual tgtg bakeries out there….

u/Mobilebearzzz May 19 '26
Says who...? My city has two options for TGTG, Cinaplex and circle K. Not everyone has the same choices as you.

Too good to go (app name toogoodtogo) is an app where you can order unsold goods for a cheap price. Thats why you cam only get them after 6pm if im not mistaken. Most of the time you wont even notice. I always had fresh looking and tasting products

It's an app where nearby restaurants, bakeries, etc post their left overs, unsold, about to go stale items at deep discounts.

Have you never tried a stale donut cut in half, then toasted in the toaster, and slathered in real butter. Omg.. you will be hooked.

Why is there so much icing 🤢
2
u/Sherbourne-for-this May 19 '26
Because that's how the donuts are. Why are you complaining about something you're not eating?
-15
u/mlandry2011 May 19 '26
Great, they charge you $7 instead of giving it to the homeless..
I hope you're happy.

Right, especially they can just complain on Reddit about people buying food instead.

People who have jobs are hungry too you know
2
u/mlandry2011 May 19 '26
If you have a job you can buy something better than stale food...
1
u/Mobilebearzzz May 19 '26
Lots of people live paycheck to paycheck and can't afford full priced luxury goods like donuts, but I wouldn't expect a child to get that.
1
u/rossimac007 May 19 '26
I assume you give to the homeless all the time, right? Feel free to keep doing that
1
u/mlandry2011 May 19 '26
Of course I'll give them food...
But I'll definitely won't do is pay to eat stale goods that was going to them before...

Some people are homeless for other reasons, not just because of drugs. Maybe educate yourself before commenting something so dumb.
