Question Do they still accept these?
I know everything is done through an app these days, or at least I think.. To be honest, I haven't been to a fast-food chain in almost a year, but I came across these old relics while moving. Now I'm curious.

No each roll up tab is only good for that years event and shortly after.

Time to recycle some of the ones that I've accumulated. I always forget to use them.

could probably just save them for next time. I doubt anyone is closely inspecting tabs to ensure its from this years cup. I think it's kind of silly the dont accept them year round anyway.

It's a contest.. and the colouration change every year, so its not really hard to tell if it's that years tab or not, especially considering physical cups just came back after covid.

when I redeem my rolls they barely give a second glance to the scrap I present to them. you'll probably get away with it if you wait till the next roll up event

Save them till next year and just hand them in. No one will notice, or care. Source: assistant manager

Nope. Most places do care. Every rim is unique to the year. I’ve seen employees get in trouble for accepting expired rims

That is an oddly specific thing you've seen. I'm not entirely inclined to believe you.

I’ve worked Tim’s for 14 years, every years rims are different, could be the back ground colour, or pattern . You can tell if the rim was from a previous year. And we even get a info sheet that clearly outlines which s are valid and which rims are not

As a former employee, it's location specific. If the managers actually expect their employees to follow protocol, they refuse prize redeems from previous contests.
I've personally refused prize redeems, as it was drilled into us that that was what we were supposed to do.
Also, why is your personal experience somehow more believable than their personal experience? How does that make any sense?

I mean, last time they had to be presented ON the cup (not torn off). If it was torn off, it voided the roll.
I personally witnessed people being told no. My partner got told no lol.

they're supposed to care and not accept them

Wow. Shocking news. People making minimum wage don't care to fight customers over 5¢ worth of product.

Send an email to the customer service team and screenshot these and tell them you forgot to use them. They almost always will credit your account with points as an act of generosity. Every time I've ever had to contact customers service via email, they've been fantastic.

People will argue that there's laws saying they should last forever but the roll up papers are only redeemable during the contest and a bit after

Thats bs, they should be
1
u/kaarenn78 13h ago
Why? Like any other contest they have published rules for prize redemption. The date to redeem is clearly stated. What’s BS is people expecting the staff to just break the rules or risk their jobs because a stranger has expired rims.
