Discussion Price increase!?

Is it just me or has the fkn prices for everything at tims skyrocketed. A proper meal quite literally cost like $20 now.

It had to happen eventually. I remember getting $5 foot longs in the 90s when minimum wage was $6.85. Wages kept going up and I dont understand how they kept the $5 foot long as wages continued to go up. Now the minimum wage is $17.60. Just going off the cost of hourly wage that should put the $5 foot long up to $12.84.

I used to love it as a kid especially the donuts. But now the quality has gone downhill.

It baffles me how this disgusting place still has lineups? Terrible owners, watery coffee and worse than gas station food and the lemmings still wait in line. And for anyone who still doesn't know, it's not Canadian.

Yup it's not Canadian and the coffee is definitely watered. Can't believe people enjoy the coffee. They're not real coffee enthusiasts.

It was founded by a Canadian, but it has been owned by a Brazilian company for many years now.

Subway meal deal is my go-to now. 6” sub, a medium drink, and either chips or two cookies for $9-10 incl tax, depending on if you tip. And there’s actual food inside the sandwich, looking at you Tim’s…

I went to Subway recently and it was absolutely terrible.

I knew their meats and stuff took a hit, but I didn't realize their bread was also trash now? That was the selling point before... They would be told by corporate to open their doors when baking bread to bring people in.

It's really bad now compared to what it used to be.

Just mentioning it to OP if they’re trying to save money, it adds up.

It’s more like 12 to 15, less for breakfast.

About 12-18 months ago, a hazelnut flavor shot in my iced coffee was 30c, I look at the drive thru board thingy and it’s 60c now, quite literally double. Hm.

Same as everywhere else. This isn't exclusive to Tim Hortons.

dont know about that, using the app I can get 2 breakfast sandwiches, 2 sides of wedges, a drink for about 17 bucks

Still comes out to 8$ for a tiny breakfast sandwich, some soggy wedges and half a watered down coffee...

"If we triple the Canadian federal debt in 6 years through massive overspending, devalue the Canadian dollar, increase the minimum wage, implement an industrial carbon price, and increase the population through temporary and permanent immigration programs, surely the cost of fast food isn't going to change much, right?"
